A good 3 cell lipo and a huge, wide open area where steering doesn't play a role as your front tires won't be doing much anyway.

Your requests sound sort of odd, weird, or newb-ish -- I don't know which.

But the reality of it is gearing is up to you.

everyone has to start somewhere. No harm in asking.

qcstrokr, you should start with a good battery first. Something that can put out at 20-25amps constant for the mamba 8000. I'd suggest getting a 2s lipo to start since the mamba 8K was made with 2s in mind. 3s is possible, but you really have to watch your temps, since the rpms are over castle's rating.

Set your mamba esc to low start power and normal timing. This is a good place to start your fine tuning. As for pinions, 11/60 is a safe place to start, but I would highly suggest getting a range of gears so that you can gear based on your personal needs.
