Yes you know it! Swap out all of the carbon parts and you'll have the latest TEK18X but more like 'factory team' because you'll have more of the alloy parts already. When I can get pictures for the upgrade kit parts I'll post it on the website for sale. I would say by Tuesday.

Thanks,

M

How durable is the MXT chassis. I jump around 5-12 feet with my Mini-T.

ROFLMAO

Michael P 07-02-2008 06:32 PM

Mike is there any spy shots of that 18r body? :sneaky: And what size are the setup boards going to be?

Thomas P 07-02-2008 09:43 PM

Mike, is there any plans for a Buggy body ? or does the stock RC18b fit, if i trim it less ?. Must say, real good service!! :sneaky:

MikeR 07-03-2008 11:11 AM

Hi All,

Frozen- The nylon MXT chassis is pretty flexible so can handle most minor jumps assuming the landings aren't harsh. I'm actually working on a full blown carbon Mini-T chassis that will be more stout than the typical nylon type for later this year. Just will be very pricey.

Rob- why?

MP- No spy shots sorry but when my race buddy saw the mold he squelched like a school girl  haha. Unfortunately my vacuum form guy just went on vacation so it's delayed the 'spy shot' until 2 weeks.
I have some set up boards in stock but just haven't had the time to get them on-line. Sizes will be;
9.25"x13 $15aprx
13"x18.5 $22aprx
15.5"x26 $29aprx

All white with black trim and made from all premium materials. No cheap chip board like the other brands!

Thomas- Thanks sir! Any way I do have a model of a buggy body built up but waiting to see how the sales of the 18R and truck body does before going further with it. For a stock 18B body you would trim the nose section less but trim the front bottom skirt more for better servo saver clearance.

Thomas P 07-03-2008 11:52 AM

sounds good Mike, il try to talk to a guy that i know here @ home evewn known as "LimmetED" he is a magician with lexan lids... see if he can do one.

sounds GREAT Mike. what is the body shaped after?

wrxnfx 07-03-2008 01:27 PM

Hey, Mike,

I'm glad you're looking into some RC18 bodies. That's a market that hasn't been tapped, yet! Really looking forward to the 'Z!'

oXYnary 07-03-2008 02:42 PM

Setup boards! Yeaaa! I hate having to use the uneven surface of the LHS pit tables. Do they have the toe in degrees listed on them?

The buggy body for the Tex18X, that could fit a M18T Pro as well, so additional market.

this is the second post you are teasing about my answers. . .if you have a problem get some help . . . besides;are you able to speak and write at least other three languages other than yours? Genius
Sorry folks:nobody likes to be teased . . . i guess

MikeR 07-07-2008 09:51 AM

Michael P- It will be based on this but without the fancy front flares...
http://www.leslie.co.nz/models/image...Zox/Gzox02.jpg

wrnfx- Hope it does well. If so then it will lead into other bodies ;)

Oxy- No toe stickers. Maybe I guess if I raised the hood line for the M18 since it has the higher top deck. I'll have to test and see if I do proceed with it.

Ghiro- Thanks

Most guys just use a camber gauge anyways. You stand the car straight up, resting either the front or rear tires on the board and rest the camber gauge against the tires and you have the toe angles ;) If a car has bumpers in the way then I just use calipers and measure the front edge then rear edge of the tires. The stickers are over rated I think :D

MikeR 07-07-2008 10:15 AM

Speaking of bodies- anybody have a mini Desert Gator body they want to sell? They are discontinued so I'm having no luck finding these... really need one to test fit on some projects and maybe develop that body further.

julius_makewar 07-08-2008 03:17 AM

Mike, if you are a person that buys from other stores and overseas then RCMart has 7 left. BTW do they fit well on the MXT?

MikeR 07-08-2008 12:31 PM

Thanks for that!

Just ordered so I'll let you know how it fits after arrival.

Hatebreed 07-14-2008 05:52 AM

i just cut my mini desert gator body for my mxt chassis, its little too long, and a little to wide for my liking, but it looks soooo nice :) make that body just a fraction smaller in some areas and it will fit like a glove on the chassi!

i can post a pic on it as soon as i have painted it!

BTW, very nice chassi! really looking forward to test it!!

Hatebreed 07-16-2008 09:44 AM

Here is my Exotek XXX (still not finnished!)

http://img392.imageshack.us/img392/131/exotekfn1.jpg
http://img392.imageshack.us/img392/1...928d058ed3.jpg

and with the Tamiya mini desert gator body on:

http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/9621/miniiiax8.jpg
http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/9...226b154719.jpg

just waiting for the final parts and then its off to the track!

ttppll 07-16-2008 10:05 AM

That looks great!!
