Default Pinion size on RC18T

anybody know what the smallest pinion is that fits on a FT RC18T without doing modifications to the truck or using a bigger spur?
I'm runing a mamba and want to gear it down from 14T pinion to 11-13 if possible.
help is appreciated.

regards,

Jack

I think 11 is as low as you can go with the 55 spur but it's just grabbing the spur. 12 tooth is no problem.

The truck comes with a 60 tooth spur, so you shouldn't have a problem with the 11 or 12. But, are you trying to go faster? or quicker? Your smaller pinion will slow the truck down compared to a 15 pinion.

If you are looking for speed, then you shoud be able to go with the 55 tooth spur and up to 16 or 17 pinion. That would be fast with the BL system!

i think with the 60T spur 10 is the lowest you can go with pinions.

and as jkas10 said, a larger pinion will give you more top end speed, while a smaller pinion will give you better accelleration.
