Duneland

You can use helicopter pinions for the 1/8" dia. shaft motors.

Fancy meeting you here SW! After you told me about the AE pinoins I looked into them. They are indeed 2.0mm which is what I need for the Mamba. I am wanting to try a 10T or 12T to eliminate the "cogging" I am getting with this set up. What would you recommend? Who makes the 48 pitch, duneland? I would be curious as to see how they effect performance.

Any more work on the Pro chassis, duneland? I am about to put my order in for one. A guy I work with's wife works at Horizon. I hope I can get a bunch more goodies with my Pro but he says they are a little sensitive about that. It will be fine being around Christmas, I would think.

Thanks for the info!

shocks needed oil
diffs need rebuilt
need to make sure your motor is drilled with 3mm screws and none of the castle stuff is
motor mount is trick but tricky to use on non-stock stuff

you get the pro....you will need a bigger motor than the mini motors you have been running. If you stay w brushed motors you dont have a lot of choices and the motors will run hot......
just remember you want a 380 can motor.....

If you go bl you might want to wait on the new Novak Mongoose......

We have tried quite a few bl motors in the Recoil. So far, some of the long can 20mm motors offer very good performance, but run pretty hot.
The larger diameter motors have been running best. Quite a few 380 - 400 sized bl airplane and heli motors to choose from.
The mongoose should be very good since it is a 380 sized motor... remains to be seen HOW good it will be. It will be quite a bit more expensive than the sensorless ones we are currently running.
