Here's a pic of the original brushes that came out of my PN70T that was on the ready set board that lost forward drive. the brush on the left is the one that is mostly gone. Hope you can see it in the pic. Any Idea if this could cause the board to short?
Thanks and Take Care! Drew

p.s. I think the motor had about 8 months on these brushes.

The brush can arc pretty bad when it gets too short and breaks apart. I haven't seen it kill fets often, but have seen it before.

I need to get into this again....

Ordered some "colours" for my car, so I can actually paint it.
Does anyone know of a good "deskstand" just for showing off my car on my desk?

Anybody know if the PN Racing Mini-Z Porsche 911 GT3 RS Carbon Fiber Adapter will work with the 911 GT3 RSR? The factory nose clip is stamped 911 GT3, and doesn't specify RS or RSR. I'd like to use the carbon fiber mount so I can lower the body a bit to lower CG.
Thanks for the help! Drew

I run the M96WC and race at some local tracks, but no clubs. I’ve been racing Mini-Zs for 15 years and the Mini-96 for 4 years.

The MR04 looks interesting, and I will be curious to see if the new steering setup will improve the slop HotDog is talking about. I have tried most of what everyone has tried to remove the slop other than going all aluminum, but from what I've seen it's just designed into it, and maybe for good reason, I'm no engineer just a farm boy who's good with his hands.
I also am wondering what this is going to do to racing classes? Is the 04 going to be an advantage vs. the 03 so separate classes? I doubt I would notice any difference, but it would be a GREAT excuse to give the wife! "Honey I NEED an MR04 for a new class!"
HotDog, you may not have removed the slop, but you have a VERY COOL chassis!!!

Japan is strange

ICTag system is not very good system for this.
They can't even use hex screws
The top damper don't even look flat
But I might just get the board if that's availible.

If the car treks straight so the steering slop isn’t much of an issue.. it also allows it to be forgiving when you hit something
