Default Robitronics Scalpel 1/18th Pan Car?

As discovered by Duneland at the Chicago show..

Still under wraps.

I wonder if this is the trackdrooler?

Duneland, can you comment if they look the same?

I can't be shure. It looks a lot like that. I think the shock is a lot smaller than those pics indicate. The one I looked at, had all the gear in it (including a Mamba system). I made fun of them for putting a 'little girl' 4 cell NiMh pack in it .
I have a friend or two, going to the show over the weekend. I'll try to get one of them to shoot some pics. I could have done it with my phone, but I keep forgetting it can do that !

I hope so. I've been waiting for a car like that. I've even considered fabricating one for myself.

A friend snapped this shot at the Chicago show. It was taken with a phone cam through a glass display.

You beat me to it! I just found those shots..
When I saw it at their booth on Thurs, it had a Mamba system in it. Any of the micro bl systems will drop right in.

Its cool, and what the BRP wishes it was. But I still would like to wait for the track drooler. I loved my CRC carpet knife, and the trackdrooler has suspension just like it.

I hate tbar suspension.

BTW, that little infared module on the servo is part of a Robotronic lap counting system. It has to face up through a clear part of a body, like the front window. Loop has to be on a bridge and I was told that the system would be like $500 bucks w/3-5 transponders. And I think $50 each additional.

That's right, Dynomite! I wish I had known about that system before I bought the one I use now. The retail price on this one is $550 & the transponders are $55. Those are the list prices, but they do have a dealer pricing structure, so selling prices can be less. Unlike other IR systems, their transponders have unique codes (like amb personals). The system I use only has 14 codes but the transponders are re-programable.
I may try to sell my system & replace it with this one. I would have to have an exchange deal with the racers who allready purchased ones for my system though.

Any idea when the car or the counting system will be available? Where can I order in the US?
