Open classes are open to any body, hard or Lexan.

I have a few lexan bodies, but have found I'm faster with the extra weight of the hard bodies. My Jomu's with lexan wings and roofs come in between 24.5 and 26g and my Lexan bodies are atleast 5g lighter. The extra weight seems to help me roll the corners better, and protect the servo, as I'm a wall rider!😜
it's probably me and my lack of setup experience at the scale with lexan bodies, as they're super fast and responsive with a lexan!

Am i clear, there is no class for black cap brushed motor is that equivalent to the PN 70T brushed?

The black cap Kyosho Xspeed motor is in Pro Stock (I believe it is a 50T). I've never used a PN 70T but that motor is in the Stock class. I figured things out back when I was getting started mostly by scrolling back through this thread to see pictures of cars and their setups which helped me figure out what classes I could mold the cars I had into.

From the rules:
Stock- Any 4AAA Nimh Chassis , OEM or 70T brushed motor or 3500 & Kyosho 4100kv Brushless motor, Autoscale/White body.
Pro Stock-Any 4AAA Chassis , 48/50T Brushed motor or 5600kv brushless motor, Autoscale/White body.

The black cap x speed motor is, or is very close, to a 50t, making it a ProStock motor. I thought I put it into the updated rules, but I'll double check and correct.

black cap is 50T, but performance are very far away than PN50T (on my club with a 8s track there is .6s gap, easily comparable with Lipo 2500kV) so i think it's closer to the PN70T rather than PN50T, but never tried the 70t, just the black cap and the PN50T, But with the PN, if the car isn't set up perfectly (ball differential and disc dampers), it's uncontrollable

I wonder if the performance of the PN 50T over the Black Cap is like that of the 70T vs. the White cap motor? With the white cap and the same gearing, I have found it's not that the 70T has more top speed, just tons more torque. The 70T can get off of corners faster and recover much more quickly vs. the white cap! I can't test the 50t on a Mini96 as they run out of track before hitting top speed.
I do think on the Mini96 the 50T motors can run with the 5500kv competitively, for me I just like the feel of Brushless after making the switch.
