It was a fun layout for sure. The problem for me is getting the right line is 50/50 chance every time i go around, especially going full send trying to get the fast time.
But i would choose this one over any roundabout layout anytime LOL

I can ask Nexx to develop alum tie rods and maybe it would be a good idea to have them work on a alum front end (arms, lower and upper) to go with their alum knuckles.
That would be dope right? It would be to upgrade other classes outside of Box Stock

On your Porsche I would look at your Tie Rod! It sounds like what my cars do when the tie rods wear out. It's something I have run into with all of my 04s even my 03s with 04 steering! I read that either the wide AA or wide 03 tie rods will fit on Narrow 04s. I haven't tried it yet, as I'm hoping someone will release aluminum 04 tie rods in the states! You can get them overseas, but I'm not willing to pay 30% tax! I just keep a few sets of the plastic tie rods on hand, and replace them when they start sticking. The pockets that the knuckle pins fit into wallow out, even after polishing the pins mirror smooth. The usually last 3 or 4 months on the cars I drive alot. Yeah, I've tried a couple different ones, including ones with different toe. Have not tried any MR03 ones yet-this is an MR03 RWD running MR04 arms (of course). Had to file the back side of the upper arm were it mounts to make room it to mount to the MR03 upper back when I mounted them and it has been pretty good, not sure when this issue popped up though. Might try a few other things before I tear into it more. Getting into the servo gears isn't my favorite thing to do but I've done it a few times. Also, I'd love to see someone come out with a Chamfer tool that is small enough to fit the rear hub of our wheels. This would make it easy to clearance wheels for the 04, so no issues with even the V2 arms and + or -1 19mm wheels! Anyway, I hope ya get it figured out, as steering issues suck! The only thing I find worse is Rx issues with Open class cars! I went through 5 to get 2 that worked! If they work, they usually work well, but I had 2 that were dead on arrival and 1 that looses signal with even the hint of any static buildup! 2 different brands, and the retailers took awesome care of me getting it worked out, but a major headache!! I have to laugh, at how much we like different layouts!
I'd be down for running any of them, but with 6 and 9 I will be running bodies ONLY with front bumper/clips or reinforced noses!!:p Coming from a mostly large dirt oval racing, I LOVE the long fast straights, and while most hate the loop/roundabout layouts, they are one of my favorite tracks!:D But that's what makes this challenge soo fun!! Having to learn all styles of layouts, really improves your driving! Starting out I was at least 10 seconds faster going CW vs CCW. Now I'm almost as fast and sometimes faster CCW! I never thought it would happen, so lets run!!!! Also, Send me your ideas for layouts you'd like to run!!! I have tons I've made up in Zround track designer, but yall may have come up something I haven't imagined! Yall HAVE FUN, and keep the rubber side down!!! |
no preference i'll run whatever but #9 CW was my jam haha.... It took awhile to get the rhythm for that diagonal but it was super exciting to hit it consistently :p
