MaxAmps 2 cell goes 119 mph~!

I hear people talk and post on forums all the time about whose batteries are fastest on this test and that.
If you want pure power above all other manufactures MaxAmps is the only way to go.
I know what you’re saying, how can you make such a bold statement, well for the last three years I have held the ISC 2 cell speed run record using only MaxAmps cells.
In 2008 the ISC speed run in Rockingham N.C. running a Novak 3.5 motor on a GTB (long before timing advancing) I broke the existing record of 71 mph with a run of 84 mph.
In 2009 the ISC speed run in Fontana Ca. (Auto Club speedway) I broke my own 84 mph record with a run of 101 mph and also became the first 2 cell car to run over 100 mph.
Then last weekend the ISC speed run again in Fontana Ca. running a Novak Ballistic 3.5 on a Novak Kinetic and a MaxAmps 5250 mah 7.4v lipo pack broke my old record of 101 mph with a run of 119 mph.
There is no smoke or mirrors this is a standard over the counter kit running normal equipment. I ran against all the most popular manufactures and the facts are in a pure speed contest where battery power is of utmost importance using a standard 540 motor MaxAmps cells are the fastest in the world.
Dyno that.

I have been told there are a couple videos but I have not seen them yet.
No my gear was not that bad at all, 84-23 on a 2.30 RC4less foam, but I am "maintaining" over 60,000 rpm thanks to my cells.
My full set up:
Grand MotorSports electric rail
Novak Ballistic 3.5 TSE
Novak Kinetic speed control
MaxAmps 5250 mah 7.4V HardCase
PSR gears 48p
Novak Sentry data logger
Spektrum DX3R
That's about it.

Imagine how fast you'd go with a castle/neu setup! "If less is more, imagine how much more, more would be" Dr. Frazier Crane
Must have 1 heck of a C rating on those packs. 100C is the highest I have run yet.

I knew there must have been Castle parts somewhere on the car to go that fast!! Nice bullet plugs Tim! Now on to the real question.....
I will start by saying I congratulate you for a great record, it really is impressive, and I dont intend to bash MaxAmps at all because I am sure the batteries you are using are great. But consider this.....I race every weekend at a local track and every weekend I dominate the entire field using Hobbywing electronics and HK batteries. Does this mean that these are the best possible components that one could get for the particular type of racing that I do? If you frequently use other brands of batteries but you choose only MaxAmps for competition please make it clear so that I know we are comparing apples to apples when we say they are the best for top speed.

I am a friend of Tim's and one of his team drivers,
6 days ago while riding his motorcycle home from work someone made an illegal lane change and hit him on the freeway.
He was thrown two lanes over and was lucky to survive. He spent several hours in surgery to repair his left leg and after two metal plates a rod and several screws it was back together. He is looking to come home from the hospital today or tomorrow and unfortunately at that point his road of recovery will really begin.
I don't want to speak for him but I am one of his team drivers and was with him during all his speed run testing leading up to this years ISC event. Tim is friends with Jim Skinner of Thunder Power and during one day of testing took his MaxAmps pack out and run one of Jim's personnel packs and was slower.
Also the other competitors at this years ISC event were all using Mamba sensorless set ups and and Thunder Power cells yet only managed 105 mph.
So I am not going to speak too much for him but I would assume that is what he meant in his first post.
Please keep him in your prayers he certainly needs them right now.

No dissrespect to him in any way, shape or form was meant so if it was taken that way, please accept my most humble apology. Be assured our hearts grieve for him and prayers for his recovery are lifted up on high.

Hi everyone, This is a MaxAmps support forum so I don't mean to pull it off base but I did want to just post an update to my unfortunate issue.
I would be more then happy to answer any technical questions on my speed run or drag cars if anyone has any.
As you might know from the post Gabe did for me I was involved in a motorcycle wreck on 11-18 I can't speak to the details of the wreck as I am limited due to legal reasons.
So on with the fun, I can say I was hit on my left side by a truck on the freeway and as a result my left leg took nearly all the damage in the wreck. I am pleased to report my heavy leather riding gear and helmet protected me and even after bouncing across two lanes of the freeway I wasn’t skinned up at all and other then lots of bumps and bruises was unharmed. My left leg however was a different story.
My leg was totally crushed between my motorcycle and the truck that hit me. I went into surgery that night and after all was said and done it took 16 screws and 2 metal plates to build a new ankle.
After spending 5 days in the hospital (I’ll spare you all those details.) I was released and finally got to go home. My ankle was still hurting from the surgeons having to remove the muscle from the bone and reattach it after all my hardware was installed and my knee was still very swollen and felt unstable. Two days after being home I had my first doctor visit. I told him my knee was still really hurting and he sent me for x-rays and a MRI. The result was my knee was also crushed and broken.
Unfortunately the damage to my knee was somehow missed in the hospital after the wreck.
So back into the hospital I went on Wednesday (12-8) for a second surgery to repair my knee. This one ended up adding 6 more screws and another metal plate. I was feeling so down mentally about having to have the second surgery I am sure it didn’t help but this one hurt and I would be just fine if I was to never experience that again.
I came home on Friday and am feeling better each day. Physical therapy starts for me in the next day or two and as much as I am looking forward to the end result I can’t say I am looking forward to the path.
No one has really given me a time line on walking again right now. The only thing they will say is that I will have limited mobility. I personally don’t really see it that way and fully expect to be more mobile then before when all is said and done.
Even though I could write 10,000 different trying or painful things that have come from this I honestly have felt from day one that I have been blessed and as a friend of mine told me “You have been given this cross because God knows you are strong enough to carry it.”
He must really want to make me strong.
Thank you so much for all the prayers and well wishes. I really can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.
