Default waterproof or water resistant

I have a bunch of lipos from SMC, SPC, Promatch, Thunderpower etc and none of them are certified for use with water. I read the maxamps batteries had a higher level of tolerance for water and wanted to know what levels have people pushed these batteries to. I don't have any intention of submerging cars in pools or bathtubs but would love to drive the cars in pouring rain and just bash around. Any input is appreciated.
