This is a company that started in the RC plane side of the hobby so I highly doubt they are using a power supply that a racer would be using.

Will it take the same amount of time to charge a 5200 24C 7.4 Lipo as it does a 5200 50C 7.4v lipo? My 5200mah pack is taking about 30 - 35 minutes with the balancer connected, does that sound about right?

C rate has no affect on charge time.

Hi Jason,

Maybe you can offer some advice on this.

I managed to get a used 1kw telco power supply that throws out -52V.

The +ve terminal is essentially at 0v and the -ve terminal at -52.

The potential difference should thus be +52V if I run the circuit in reverse.

Now I am not familiar with negative DC supplies of this power level, and documentation so far has been sketchy.

Is there anyway I can get this to safely run a pair of 720 or 0615 chargers in series?

Thanks,
DF

I just picked up one of these chargers and a 4S 5250 pack.

When using this charger connected to a car battery (deep cell battery I use just for at the track) what is the maximum charge rate I can use? I keep seeing that you can do 1C off a car battery, but can you do 2C safely?

It all depends on if the battery can supply enough out put power to sustain a 2C rate. Try it and see what happens the worst thing will be you won't see the 2C rate but more likely a lower rate.
