Nice turnout. T-bone - Fast. Me one problem after another. Transponder, ESC, Motor, rear wing gone.

But hey, why don't we give Stan and Vue a nice big welcome back to Wisconsin, it's 3 out.

Yeah...almost 60 degrees in Atlanta, but we worked all weekend. Would rather be cold and racing - can't believe I said that.

Because we'll pay it. I don't know how much a real F1 tire costs, let's say $5000. So at 1/10 scale it is 1/1000 the mass, so it should be $5.

$.05 in rubber, sell for $10, pretty good markup. Tooling schmooling, China makes that crap for pennies on the dollar.

Let's face it, we're getting screwed.

Possibly the best post exchange I've seen in these threads in a looong time.

Isn't there a Tamiya branded tire set that is the same as the pit shimizu stuff for less?

Agreed, the price is unjustified.

I had a lot of fun and last week's shakedown gave me some idea what to expect. I am really glad I got a pair of soft rear tires though. Driving on new hard tires was pretty challenging.

Both McLarens should be coming this Sunday. Hope to get there early so we can finish breaking in those tires.
