I would like to start out by saying I have posted some negative things on here. I have let my ego and pride get in the way of being level headed and that is not me at all. I have said inappropriate and childish things and acted like a keyboard warrior on here and that is absolute bullsh*t. There are certain people on here I need to apologize to. I didn't name them in some of my other posts so I won't name them here, but they know. I think that is one of the things that suck about forums, people don't talk anymore. Like for example, when I had someone do something to me out on the track that I didn't like, I should of confronted the person right there and then. Not in a negative way but to figure out what I did to upset them. Whether it is my racing or marshalling, I want to do the best job I can. If someone has an issue with what I am doing I would hope they would tell me, because I want to do the best possible job I can. If someone has issues with something, we should talk like adults, not go all sniper in these forums. I understand things happen in the heat of racing, things that if there wern't in compitition, we would handle things differently. That being said, I think that is one of the huge problems with MARCCA. There used to be alot of useful talk in this forum. Alot of fun bantering back and forth, and very little negativity. Alot of information was passed on to people here, like race day info, rules, and if someone had suggestions, people posted and people responded. Now it seems all there is is venom, and like I said, I am not innocent either. I guess my sugestion is maybe, someone who is at the track all the time, and who is on here all the time, could be the go to poster of info. Daryl and/or Gabe come to mind. I am not trying to give people extra work to do, just a suggestion.
Again, please, lets keep the negativity out, and treat each other with the respect we all deserve. I am a lover, not a fighter, and Daryl can vouch for that!
In the immortal words of the late Rodney King, " Can't we all just get along? "
Thanks for your time,
Jake
p.s. please don't say anything about my wife Daryl. Remember, nothin but luv brutha, EAST SIDE!

Have no fear. Marcca is alive and well.
The outdoor season was challenging for sure. The closing of the bar and losing our water source was a hard bite to swallow. Plans for next year are happening now.
The indoor winter season is close at hand. We are actively looking at a few buildings that would suit our needs. Every year it is a struggle to find a suitable building at the pricing the club can afford. Good news may be arriving soon. Keep the search up and let us know if you think you have a lead.
Marcca is a club and relies on its members to make it thrive. Get involved. Make it what you want. Donate your time and efforts to keep us one of the best year round clubs in the state.

Marcca has always had it's ups and downs. It'll never really die as long as there's people that want to race. Probably not too many people in the club left, that remember the crappy tin quansit hut on Park St that froze every night.. It wasn't much of an issue running nitro in there, since nothing was sealed.
But anyways, it's always had it's fair share of "characters"
