Assuming you're talking offroad, there is a work party scheduled for May 7-8 (moving out of the indoor building is May 1-2) and I believe racing will begin on the first or second Sunday after that date, depending on weather. The track is in pretty good shape from last year so it will only get better.

When it becomes official will it be posted here?

Yup, it will be posted here and on the website.

We had a board meeting yesterday and it sounds like most everything is in good order at the track from last year. Our city champs race is April 24-25, then building move out May 1-2, then work at the offroad track May 8-9 and then racing.

I would bet that May 23rd would be the first race, if not May 16th.

It was also decided that the club would indeed run the same summer onroad program in Verona that it ran last year. Pending city approval the first race date would be May 22nd, weather permitting.

Who would whant to race at verona with a club that could care less for half it's members until they complained enough? Sounds like john kerry to me. I sugest some other entity than that club running races in verona!

Things are changing in the club, and you need to recognize that. You know I agree with you about a lot of it but if you EVER want to see a positive racing scene in the Madison area, you have to try and help things change. This was a positive decision made the by the RIGHT people who are willing to put time into it.

If your goal is to see no racing in Madison, then you're no better than the people who voted to not let us run a program in Verona earlier...
