Congrats Jeff. I recently gave up an addiction also. I'm sure this will be tough, but anything worth it in this world doesn't come easy.
Call me anytime!
I am older now and easy to catch. Will cross that bridge when and if it ever happens. It might if there are wild blind chicks.

Hope to see you at the track Chris.

I always said a quiter never wins, but in this case you do. I to must kick the habit sometime soon. But i know it won't work unless i'm really commited to it, and right now i'm not. With me it's work and r/c that really gets me smoking alot, otherwise i can go most of a day without. Just remember Jeff, you may want to stay away from us on Sunday.
Also Keith you almost made me cry with your "look at Alex" commit, very nice.
Anyway good luck Mr. Mann.

Daryl, sometimes it is the simple things that we see everyday that can give us the power to make the commitment to overcome an addiction. Take a closer look, I bet it is there for you and as this thread shows there are others who understand and care enough to help. We just need to take the time to look.

You do seem a little emotional, I hear that comes from watching too much Little House on the Prarie

Keith whos son Jason thinks you should quit smoking also.

It was this same reason I quit. I took a look at my son and thought "he's worth it", and he's the reason.
Then my daughter came around and opened up a whole new set of goals for me....

On day five now and things are going well. Rough spots every now and then. I just sit back and read what you guys have said and consider myself lucky. I can already smell things better now it seems. Not all odors are good. Pitting upwind from you all this week.

A friend of mine at work quit smoking a few months after I did and he said he had smoked so long he had no idea how stinky the world was.

Excellent job Jeff. Remember, after three days all of the nicotine is out of your system unless you cheat. Then it starts all over again, so not one puff !!

I quit about 3 1/2 years ago now and I know its not easy. Hang in there !

One step at a time Daryl. Find a woman first.

Kids are never the answer unless the question is .... Why are you banging your head on the wall?

Thanks to all that have shown their support. I shall do my best to not let you down.
