Thanks guys for a good day of racing. It was nice to have the sun shining the entire day. I would have never imagined that the track would have needed water after all of this rain.

See you later this summer

I'm thinking I might show to try my hand at this... If I can get the CRT going.

Question, I have some crime fighters mounted on half offsets(I think they're the ones that came with the CRT).... These tires ok? I realize track conditions will dictate different tires at times... It's all I have right now though.

Currently I'm rebuilding the diffs, new oil and gaskets... Also I need to rebuild the shocks... Any suggestions on a starting point for shock oil and springs?

I don't know if I'll make it to race for sure, gonna be flying helis tomorrow. GF wants attention(crap) but hopefully I'll find time to get everything put together.

Oh, and I don't have a motor/pipe right now either, lol. Suggestions on something in the 250-300 buck range? Stuff that others are running there is always nice, in case I have issues...

Hey Bill,
Welcome to another money pit!
Crimefighters work fine, Try 40w or better in front, 30 in the rear for shock oil.
If you can make it out on Wednesdays (practice day) you can get a better idea of whats working best for setups, or better yet Sundays for racing.
The crew that races here are all a bunch of nice guys that are happy to help out with tips and such, We have fast guys and slow guys so your bound to fit in somewhere.
I'm gone this weekend, but here the next.
Sometimes guys bring stuff to fly after racing.

Hey fiveboy, give this a try:

http://www.jamminproducts.com/setups.htm

Use one of the setups from "The Dirt" and avoid ones from Silver State Nevada (dry, looser track). Also look closely to be sure you are not using a setup that calls for super big bores but anything prior to 2008 should'nt call for these.

I know a guy who's looking to get rid of a Sirio STI. It's brand new, never used. I called him and left a message on his phone to pm you about it. Awesome engine. One thing I've found this year is the new Gen 2 Byrons fuel is junk. There have been too many people that have had engine trouble from while using this fuel. Don't buy it. Odonnel or Nitrotane is great fuel. 30% of course. Run a JP3 Jammin Pipe. This pipe works on any engine with great power on both bottom and top end.

Well thank you for the replies guys....

Brian, you ain't kidding about the money pit!!! If my gf knew just how much $ I've spent in just the last 3 weeks alone, I'd be DEAD.... Did I mention I crashed my heli last sunday? Almost fixed though

I will try to get out there this weekend, if nothing else other than to watch again. I just went and ordered a Picco .28 from amain, probably not the greatest motor but I think it will get me started....

Geez do I HAVE to run 30%? It's necessary in my helis and I know how much it costs.... This fuel is gonna kill me

Here's a pic - it looks pretty but underneath it needed a fair amount of work:

If you see someone who doesn't look like he has a clue with a truck lookin like this, come on up and say hi

I didn't make it but truggy is finished now. I've been working on the break-in.

I wanted to come watch but I couldn't motivate my rear to do so

Brian can you confirm that practice is 3pm-dark on wednesdaysas shown on the marcca website? If that's correct I'll have to save practice for Sunday... I work second shift
