Yes well I know it's messy, I'll clean it up...

The outdoor season ended today... Thanks to Brian and wife first and foremost for letting us use their property. Also thanks for letting me use the tires today

Thanks to anyone and everyone who lent or sold me a part when I needed it. Marcca has a very good group of guys. Competition was good all year and I saw everyone improve steadily. For now I'm a little tired of Nitro so it will be nice to shelf the truggy and run on the carpet with clean/quiet electric power for a while.

Some guys want to practice around Wednesday, then pipes get torn up. We are looking at leveling everything on Sunday October 26th IF it's not an issue for anyone. Most of the work will be done with skidsteers but of course we could use a few guys with shovels.

Again thanks to everyone, it was a great season

Thanks again to Brain and his family for hosting us again this year. Thanks also to Bob Hommen, this guy spends his vacation time to come and direct racing for us, that is truly above and beyond. Thanks BOB!!

Today was a nice closing to the season at the Rock. Dirt was perfect, the track was a little rough (some of us like it that way ) and everyone was driving hard and fast. I was wringing out every bit I could from my Xray trying to get my lap back from Dave B and his new MBX-6, he and Jeremy were FAST with those things, maybe something to think about for under my Xmas tree.

George gets my nomination for most improved driver of the year. A few weeks ago he was wheeling his new RC8t around the track rodeo style with his nuclear engine, today he was hitting the lines and putting up lap times that are fast by any standard at the Rock Pile. Great job George.

Wait until next season guys, the plans that Brian and the club have will make it one of the best tracks anywhere!

Thanks again Brian and Bob. Can't wait till next year.

i would also like to thank brian for all his hard work. bob homan also gets a thank you for anouncing most of the year. the biggest thanks goes to all the racers that have help out with track work and helping all the other racers with setups, broken parts and piting when we are short. thanks guys.

with the driverstand being raised. a new pit lane. a new layout, looks like 09 will be a very good year of racing. with several tracks stuttung down lets see what we can do to keep as many people racing at the rockpile as we can.

looks like the 26th will be track tear down day for the most of us. i will be also out at the track on the 25th if there is enough people that want to help but cant make sunday. please pm me or an email so i can plan for the sat.

the new buggy was very fast and good(dang steering bolt). dave bengston was also very fast. only was .8 behind me in qualifying. 2 different setups both with about same results. will make a few adjustments and do some running at leisure hours this winter.. jeremy

The last Race of 2008 at the Rockpile went well.
The Weather was almost too nice and I had a good time Race directing.

It was nice to see all the fast racing action with only 20 people.
Electric had 5 guys,1/8th had 6 and there were 9 Truggies.
But with the small numbers came some good and fast close battles.

David S. made his presence known in 1/8th and Electric and Dave B. kept the 1/8th scale guys busy with his speed.

Jeremy W. T.Qed 1/8th and Truggy.
Jason G.T.Qed electric.

I also would like to thank everyone who has come out this and each year we have had the pleasure of racing on Brian's Land.

And I love this place so Much that using a few Vacation days to be able to Race direct as much as possible at the Rockpile is Time well spent for me!

The Number of racers here and at most every track this year have been lower but we have gained some new racers and have had a very nice Sumer at the Rockpile.
The MWNX series was by far our biggest Race day this year and we lucked out with good weather and we had a great day.
Brian,Bill,Jeremy,Jason and others made a big difference this year with all there hard work and leading by examplness.
They whipped the Track into shape before the MWNX race and were the guys you see watering and helping out when ever things needed to get done.

Brian was always there to take up my slack when I could not be there and he always does a great job!
I would like to thank all my fellow racers for making it so much fun being you'r race director and for the guys who called out some races so I could Race.

I can't say enough about the fun I've had at the Rockpile-Watching,Racing and Calling out the action on the Track as it happens.

I took a few pictures and wanted to share them.

See you at the tracks.

Bob H.

There must be something in the water at the rockpile because all you produce is FAST racers. check the horizon shootout and Josh Stough did great so if your running with him you gotta be good. Wait it's not the water it must be all the matnure/dirt. I had a great time this year up there a couple of times and look foward to next

yes rod we have a few fast guys that run at the rockpile. it really helps drivers of all skill levels. when you have 2-8 fast guys racing the other racers can get help from them. setups, driving tips, and a good laugh. it is a very relaxed place to race. hope to see you more next year racing around wi. and ill. jeremy

Rod,
I have been asking Josh's Father for years about the water at there house because Josh and his brother Corey have been fast for years.

I think it is very cool that we are able to race with people from all around and have fun while we meet great people and then challenge each other on the track.
In the end we all get better,Make new friends and learn from each other.

I was able to get to a few tracks this sumer(I missed OCC and the first 2 MWNX series tracks).
There are tracks I still want to Check out and tracks I wish were still around.

I can't wait to run on the newest layout for the Rockpile in 2009!

Yes, I'm planning on it still.

Saturday I work 9-5:30 and I'll be racing that night.... So I can't make it saturday.

Sunday I will be bringing the skid out to help... I'm going to try to make it early, 7-8 or so if that's ok with you.

i was at the indoor track and talked to several people. the pipes have been pulled up. need to remove some wood next to the jumps and level the dirt. looks like the dirt is still a little wet to level with the rain we have gotten. looks like sunday the 2nd and monday the 3rd will be the work days to finish up. me and bill will be there next weekend to move the drivers stand and finish up. ted if you need to dump your wood take it out to brians and drop it by the trailer. me and bill will move it when we get the rest done. if not then next sunday i plan on being out there by 800 am. jeremy
