More details for those who've already signed up or are thinking of joining the 1st Philippine Masters at the Junkyard Raceway on the 27th of February...
Schedule:
0600 - 0730 Registration
0730 - 0800 National Anthem (to be sung by Doc Lo)
Invocation (to be led by Ricky Tangan)
Opening Remarks
Drivers' Briefing
0800 - 1930 Qualifiers (3 heats per group)
Finals
1930 - on Awarding
Beer-Mains
As mentioned previously, the organizers aim to start qualifying on time, with each qualifying heat succeeding the previous one by exactly five minutes.
Racers participating in the qualifying run are expected to warm up their cars during that one-minute interval. The race director will then signal the one minute mark, at which time the racers should make their refueling stop. Cars can then take the track again, pacing to cross the transponder line soon after the 5-minute time is up. This is opposed to the current practice of the race director calling out the name of each driver to go at his signal.
We hope that the racers can bear with the early start time. The tremendous turnout of racers necessitates this so that we can finish at a decent hour. Those wishing to practice on raceday can do so as early as sunrise. If you want to arrive the night before, most likely you'll find Doc Lo sleeping there.
Race Fees:
PhP1,500.00 - for the first car, driver's lunch, commemorative shirt (Please indicate your size no later than February 25, in this thread, on the facebook events page, or by calling Dogbone. Available sizes are S, M, L, XL, XXL. For those who fail to give their size, it is first-come-first-served on what is available) Additional shirts can also be availed of at 300 Pesos each.
PhP500.00 - if running in a second class
PhP150.00 - for one additional meal for your pitman, wheelman, mechanic, wife, girlfriend, fan club, yaya
See you all on the 27th!
