i have the complete engine parts and support file of the atlantic engine of TRD :p goodluck with your friend the owners preference is to install the turbo. 4agze originally yung makina tinanggal lang yung supercharger coz of driving preference also. :weird: |

1. will HPI or Yokomo AE86 body fit? i really want one but may opt for a celica or supra body instead .. which is best and from what maker? 2. what is preferred body lenght to get, 190, 200, 280 or 300? 3. will HPI or Proline tires fit the TT01 without modifications? 4. what would be the most optimal drift hop-ups to buy? 5. would an MC330 be enough to drive a 27T drift spec motor? 6. any tips you'd like to share regarding TT-01 drifiting? :) thanks for your time, im a noob when it comes to cars and drifters in general ... been building trucks for the past year and this is my first car build. ok... to answer your questions: 1. Currently 3 brands are making AE86 bodies... HPI, Yokomo, and ABC hobbies... best bet for you is the HPI trueno... coz the proportions on the HPI trueno are spot on for the scale... the ABC version seems a bit oversized for the scale while the yokomo is detailed with fender flares and full bodykit... not close to the initial D version of the trueno... 2. You referring to the overall length? or the wheelbase? either way, its not a factor in choice of bodyshell... although a shorter body is good... less lexan to get snagged by a pipe or wall...hehehehe 3. Yes. HPI and Yok (and most other brands for that matter) rims and tires will fit the TT-01 4. On your TT-01? first thing to get (im just assuming you didnt buy them yet bro... pasensya lang, my friend) is a full set of bearings, then an alloy prop shaft, then oil dampers and springs, then the alloy motor mount and heat sink, then a graphite upper deck... the ball differentials are optional and can only be used if you have the budget... since some of us can make do without the ball diff... 5. More than enough bro... the futaba MC330 is rated to 13 turn motor limits... so a 27 turn drifter motor is chicken feed for that ESC... 6. Just set your suspension in the back a bit stiffer than the front... or better yet, match the suspension settings front and back then attach a rear swaybar... after that, its just a matter of practice, practice, and more practice... PS. when starting to drift for the first time, dont use the trueno body just yet. use a "harabas" body muna... one that is really beat up na... so that in case you hit the walls more than you drift (happens to all drift noobs), you wont feel too bad about wrecking a body... my friend is in mourning since he trashed his new trueno body after driving more like Itsuki than Takumi... hehehe |
Does anyone here drifts using a nitro kit?

Hayop mga kits!
Well ive decided to keep my TC3 and convert this as drift kit.. Anybody can help me make some adjustments or any alterations? Thanks! |
@Tommi Makkinen, thanks for taking the time and pointing me to the right direction.
the TT-01 has most of the parts you've mentioned, with the exception (i think) of the ball diffs and graphite uppers which i will get along with some alu toe-ins when im ready. the car does comes with a bashin body, i will follow your advice and drive like Takumi before installing any new shells i get. maraming salamat ulit!
