m05 / 3racing solid axle
Has anyone tried using the 3racing solid axle in the M05? Just to share my unpleasant experience.. it now refuses to run in a straight line.. bigla nalang lumiliko ng sarili. Thanks for any feedback.

geetoo/action: any details on the race rules and driver classifications for the HPI series starting on Oct 2nd? Para we can prepare. thanks ....
louieb: that kinda expected from a front wheel drive car with a solid axle. puto pihit yan. best to use is a "spliff" or a tightly set differential instead. using cleaning putty inside the mo5 gear diff will help you get that. but a solid spool will just transfer too much power to the front wheel instantaneously making it difficult to drive unless one has mad control skills ... try using thick diff lube also and seal up the gear diff with some silicone sealant or shoe goo ... have not tries this myself but it might work.

I'll also try a tightly set ball diff. as you advised, will see and let you know results of both setup. I'm based in hk, will be visiting this weekend... meron palang club race.
Louie, try a soft diff

yup i know you're at hk. baka lang mapadpad ka dito sa pinas during that time. and yes may club race this saturday. try different settings and see what suits you and achieves what you are looking for. you gain some you loose some with different settings so its really a compromise on what you want. lemme know what how it works out for out.
Hi Louie, gear diff with minimal grease. Set and forget
