Default On what class should I race my TT-01?

Guys I have a TT-01 and I'm a newbie.

I want to compete using the car I have now for racing but is TT-01 even a race worthy Chassis or should I buy another one?
Also, What type of terrain madalas kinakarera yun TT-01 Chassis sa Pinas? On-road or off-road racing?

Kapag electric on-road racing sa JP raceway puwede bang gamitin kahit anong chassis sa race like my TT-01?

TT01 is an entry level chassis. Could be competitive in the silvercan or stock touring TAC classes at JPR. if you want to run a faster motor (27T and lower turn) for the other stock touring classes in the club races, suggest you get a slightly higher end car. If budget is a concern, the Tamiya TA05, TB03, TB Evo4 & 5 are competitive up to 19T or 10.5BL. Otherwise, you'd want to get a double deck CF chassis/kit (i.e. Tamiya 415/416, Xray T2'008, Hot Bodies Cyclone, etc).

BTW, TT01 is an on-road chassis... best run at JPR for grip touring car races or at ParkSquare1 (Makati) for drifting.

Sir,

When you said silvercan or stock touring TAC classes, you mean I can race with upgraded hopups using a silvercan motor in JP raceway?

Can you also elaborate further about "other" stock touring TAC classes? Because when I think of stock, I'm thinking of what is inside the kit only so yeah haha

Hope you can help! thanks for having time to reply to my newbie questions

usually, you can hop up your kit as much as you want (i.e. full ball bearings, sway bars, CF top deck for the TT01, aluminum this and that... etc). but during races at JPR, classes are defined by motor. the usual classes are:

stock touring: everybody runs silver can or johnson motors only
23T class: everybody runs 23-turn brushed or 13.5brushless motors
open modified: run the fastes motor in your pit box... (usually 4.0brushless motors

However, if you're running in the annual Tamiya Asia Cup series, you can only use original Tamiya hop-ups specifically made for your kit (i.e. TT01). Otherwise, other hop-ups can be used (i.e. 3Racing, Kawada, Speedmind, etc).

Sir VooDooPH,

Thanks a lot! anyway does a high end controller really help you to win races? Because in RC airplanes and helicopters, one thing they recommend first is to buy a high end controller. Is this also the case in RC Racing?

By the way, I already have Futaba Megatech MJ. It's a 2 channel transmitter. Will this controller be enough for me to win races?

blingbling... hehehehehehe!

seriously... digital trim, epa. multi-model memory (if you have more than 1 kit). the ability to maximize digital servos. also, some high-end radios have same manufacturer or aftermarket (i.e. Spektrum) 2.4G attachments so we don't need to worry about frequencies during races. Not sure if the Megatech has a removable module... if it doesn't, then you're stuck with the frequency range that's built in. So if there's another person running the same frequency then you won't be able to run at the same time. Also, higher end radios are less prone to signal interference and glitches.

yes, i race at JPR.
