DEDICATION
FORT SQUADRON:
Our good flying buddy JUN RAGAZA who spent his time promoting the fort squadron, as well as R/C Eflight, had a major heart attack last Monday morning. He is now in a coma at the neurological ICU of the Philippine Heart Center.
Lets all PRAY for him and his family.

I met MR. Jun Ragaza as introduced by the Master Jore during our Last years Christmas Party of the Fort Squadron held at the field in front of the S&R and has been with us ever since. (Sangley Point, Kamikaze and his home field at Baradas)
He initiated to subscribe from his own pocket a web site dedicated for the Fort Squadron
www.fortsquadron.org
sad to know that the site has expired already
The site is dedicated as a site to post pictures of the group, the field we had been to and planes we had before....I hope his legacy lives on....
He is now in a better place where he himself earned his own wings and glide thru heavenly thermals....
We salute you...and will not be forgotten.

Hitec service ROCKS!
dear fellow members,
last week, I sent in a Hitec 555 receiver that I bought in late 2001. The poor receiver probably had too many belly landings on my pico jet and supra-human G loads in the much enjoyed but ill fated stevens aero park cap.
After the last mishap, the poor 555 went for a 3 months hiatus and was supposed to be resurrected in a hopped up Micro jet. Upon installation and radio range test, WHOA! Glitches galore. Full on servo throw rotation. and the TMM BL speedo would not even arm properly (lets hear one for the Czechs!).
Changed the crystal, no dice. Went to a receiver battery, same deal. Time to send this thing to Hitec.
After a simple email, I got a pdf file with a service request form. Answered the form in 2 minutes and sent the receiver in with less than $ 2.00 worth of stamps.
One week later, I received a Hitec post card saying that my 555 was being taken cared of.
Five more days later, my receiver is back, with new antennae wire (I had a modified loaded wire antennae on) and a retuned board. The receipt says, board connection failed, retuned receiver and service is free!
Thank you HITEC, great service. I AM A FAN.
From hereon, my heretofore blind loyalty to futaba is gone. I cannot believe how great it is to deal with these people. There product design for tx casings could improve a bit, but quality, service and reliabilty for the entire line is one of the best.
When its time to upgrade, I just may take swipe at one of those HITEC/Multiplex EVO TX's now that Hitec owns them.
JT
p.s. Orbit 6.3 software for PRO, 6.1 and 6.2 versions now available. More ring tones plus more lithium charging features!
