Ummm, I don't know if this thread will see much response. I could be wrong but the trend now is nitro, be it 1/8 or 1/10. At least this is in PJ / KL.

Just saw a hardcore Micro RS4 guy breaking in and running a NTC3 just this evening at Atria.

i dun know abt KL,but from where i'm from(JB),the micro fever has definitely not caught on here...
mainly due to lack of parts support,HPI is virtually zero at JB,...
we r still pretty much into 1/10...

Well its just too bad that not many are into Micros. Its so much cheaper to run than the 1/10 scale and just as much fun. Anybody in KL or Subang area playing?

Ummm, I don't think the Micro RS4 was built to run on the house carpark or the living room for that matter... At least not that kind of owner that it was targeted for... Better get the RM 40 tin can car then. Have you seen a Micro fitted with a brushless motor? That's what I call a serious 1/18 racer.

When people start playing on the garage or the living room, it's no wonder that 1/18 scale is dying a natural death. You need kakis and friends in order to keep your 1/18 interest alive.

Anyway, HPI is distributed by HPC in Subang. I believe they are the authorised dealer in Malaysia.

Yes, it's fun alright... But the thing is where do these people play their cars? I think it's only at Subang Speedway. I think the crowd is also not big.

Cheaper or more expensive would depend on the person itself. I have seen Micros that are hopped up pretty close to what a 1/10 car hop up would cost. The option parts are not cheap.

Do you know how much a 1/18 scale lexan body cost?

Don't get me wrong, but I would just like to let people know that as with anything RC related, it's not cheap either to be involved in 1/18.

Malaysia has HPI distributor in KL subang jaya, somewhere near Inti College. The name is HPC, go check it out. We have race here for micro periodically. COOL!

I enjoy the race! We do race on big track for 1/10!
