Default Futaba 3PJ PPM/PCM Tx and other FM/PCM Rx compatibility

Hey people, I'm still trying to get spare Rxs' for my 3PJ eventhought the original R113iP Rx that I bought from Eric is still not funtioning properly (Eric's coming to JB this Friday to try and solve the problem).

Anyway, I have scoured the 3 (meagre) LHS that we have here in JB and they don't have any Futaba Rx in stock (except for 27mhz AM). Everywhere I ask, the answer is the same "kena special order", i.e; they will kick up the price since it is so difficult to get.

What they do have are 40mhz/75mhz FM Sanwa and KO Rxs'. Now, I checked at another forum and apparently Futaba Tx and Sanwa/Airtronics Rx don't work together because of the polarity or something.....check it out here;

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=27

so,I was wondering, anyone else mixing their Tx and Rx? Whatabout the KO Rx? Is it compatible with Futaba Tx? The people at the other forum said Futaba Tx are compatible with Hitec Rx whereas JR/Airtronics or Sanwa are compatible together.

anyone?

my friend uses a M8 with a ko 40mhz receiver.
I have also friend whom use M8 with a jeti receiver (micro receiver)

futaba? no idea.. best to use back the pcm receiver.

JR-R1..i 'm using only the JR pcm receiver, dont wish to install another fail safe when the TX already has it.

hope it helps

fuse01, do you know where I can get the old PCM Rx fixed? I think it needs new wires/antennaes.

If the M8 can work with a KO Rx then it won't work with my Futaba since Futaba=Hitec and Sanwa=JR=KO (fr. what you say). I haven't seen any aftermarket/3rd party Rxs' at the LHSs here e.g; Novak, Jeti, LRP etc. I wouldn't mind getting a Novak Xxtra synthesizer but do they have it for 40mhz? Will it work with Futaba?

hmmm...

I think TowerHobbies sells Futaba Rx wires for USD1.60+, take a look;

Should work with other radio sets but need to get the length right.
