Default 1/10 EP 4Hrs FF Endurance Race

For first the time ever, a mixed class four (4) hours FF Endurance race where 1/10 EP FF Touring and FF Mini will race together!

FF Touring and FF Mini will share the same track for the race, racing within their own class. An excitement like never before where each class must race against each other admist the traffic from another class.

To add to the excitement the FF Endurance is scheduled as a four (4) hours endurance, where during the final hour the endurance will be completed in darkness (track lighting will be switched off).

Minimum three (3) person teams need apply.

Unfortunately spots are limited to a maximum of six (6) teams per class; six (6) for FF Touring and six (6) for FF Mini.

So, choose your class and register early to avoid disappointment!

Detailed Race Rules and Regulations (R & R) can be downloaded here.

More details at www.3stonepark.com.

Date: 1 September 2012
Time: 1800-2200hrs
Location: RCC On-Road Track

Dear Organizer,

Please check gear ratio regulation for FF-03 class. Seems there is some error.

Dear organizers,

please note that on the list of allowable body shells, the Volvo, Alfa, Renault, Honda and the Peugeot are no longer in production. That leaves just a handful of other options.

Are we going to be limited to only using Tamiya body shells during this event? What about other Tamiya shells that are representations of real life FF cars like the Castrol Civic VTi (51421) and the Civic Type-R R3 JAS Motorsport (51431)?

Any news on this? Unless the ratio is free for Tamiya FF-03 chassis, I am fine with that

Thank you for highlighting. The above mentioned bodies have been included in the revised R&R.

In an attempt to be as fair as possible, gear ratio control shall be limited to not allowing the use of Fast Gearing option parts and unnatural modifications to the car's original gear set.

To offset this now the maximum allowable battery mAh is 6300mAh per battery.

Just saw the revised regulation.

The FF-03 does not have any "fast gear set" like the m-chassis/sabre's, instead it uses touring car style spur gears and I don't think 33t touring car style spur is commercially available. Even with that there is the final ratio to consider.

So we are still not there yet.

Agreed. I think a range of FDRs should be given instead. It's up to the drivers to select anything in the range then. That's fair.

Alternatively, IF the organisers chooses to regulate gear ratio and a level playing field, I suggest to bring them to the same roll out with their own available gear sets.

M-Chassis/Sabre.

Fast gear 33/21 and pinion of 24T
Ride Mini Tire diameter - 59mm
Internal Ratio - 3.145
Final Drive Ratio - 4.32
Final Roll Out - 42.86mm

FF-03

Spur 71T, Pinion 40T (48P)
Touring Car Tire diameter - 63mm
Internal Ratio - 2.6
Final Drive Ratio - 4.62
Final Roll Out - 42.89mm

Default Cancelled

Unfotunately owing to poor response the race will be cancelled.

The race was originally organised at the request of some racers.

So, if there are racers who are still keen on a race you are most welcome to express your interest here and if there are enough people we will re-organise the race again.

Thank you for your support.
