Alternatively you can try tuff-oil (for bearings and etc) which comes with some PTFE teflon based compound. Tried and it works great too!

I suppose if it has some teflon compound in it, then it should be pretty good. I compared mine (with tuff oil) to another Fw05, and the difference is day and night!

I believe PTFE only attaches itself to metal after being heated up. Anyone ??........

If this is so.......PTFE aka. teflon will not coat itself onto bearings if you just dip it unless you bake it after dipping.

Just make sure u add some baking powder before baking them in the oven! They'll ensure yr bearings will rise properly

No reply ... perhaps free if you go visit them ... CNY free gifts .. he he.

Anyway ... just a little update on my lastest findings. Tested the Katana TS and SS yesterday at Subang speedway and boy ... these babies are really smooth and has loads of RPM.

MY favourite is still the TS as I feel it has a more balanced RPM and torque. geared it at 5.63 and it was getting out of the corners quicker than most of my other buddies.

The SS is also nice with a gering of 6.21 on the Pro4. The top end is very fast but a little lacking in torque in the infield. It would be great if there is another 10m of straight. My car was pulling away from the other cars towards 3/4 of the straight but had to slow down to take the turn, that's when they play catch up (in the in-field).

These motors are really smooth and have very little drag when off-throttle. There are quite efficient too ... run time was slightly longer than the other laydown motors which I had tried (these include Tamiya RZ, Yok LT and Katana SL). Love them.

My current set-up for subang speedway is as follows: -

Camber 1 deg all round
Damping 40 in front and 30 rear #3 damper piston
Springs HPI gold in front and HPI Pink rear
Droop 6 all round
ride height 4.5mm front and 5mm rear - a bit low ... chassis tend to bottom out at bumpy sections - but this is only in subang speedway.
4 deg caster in front
3mm spacer at camber link all round
2.5 deg rear pivot block
1.4mm rear stabiliser bar, front 1.6mm

This set-up is reasonably easy to drive but I still feel there is a slight on-power push. Off-power steering response is rather slow. Does anyone know how to improve this?
