How to get to Koh Lanta
Taveling by air from Bangkok
Transfer to and from Koh Lanta
There are many different ways that you can get to Koh Lanta. You could fly from Bangkok to either Krabi, Trang or Phuket and then transfer further by Taxi ore Boat.( this is the most favoured way )

Taveling by air from Kuala Lumpur
Airasia : KL - Krabi - KL : RM268 / per person / return / excluding fees & taxes
From Krabi take taxi to Koh Lanta


Traveling by Car.
A) From the North ( Bangkok, Phuket, Phang Nga Province, Krabi ) :
Getting to Koh Lanta by car is very easy, either from

1) Bangkok ( 850 km ) or Phuket ( 250 km ),
2) Follow Route No. 4 to the South, straight to Krabi.
3) Pass Krabi Town, and drive approx. 50 km further, passing Klong Tom Village about 7 km to reach the junction at Ban Hua Nam Khao ( Klong Tom District ),
4) Turn right at this junction to the highway 4206,
5) following this road about 25 km, reaching the dead end at Ban Hua Hin ferry pier.
6) A car ferry is operating to Lanta Noi Island. ( 20 min. ride )
7) Once Crossed to Lanta Noi (after 5 km on the main road turn left to the next ferry pier at Ban Lang Sog). This ferry will take you to Ban Saladan Pier on Ko Lanta Yai ( 5 min. ride ).

B) From the South ( Malaysia, Hat Yai, Trang ) :
1) Follow the route No. 4 to the North - direction Phattalung
2) at Phattalung follow No. 4 direction to Trang. Left Turn at main Junction
3) as you close in on Trang, follow No. 4 to Huai Yot
4) pass Huai Yot, keep on No. 4 towards Wang Wiset
5) pass Wang Wiset you will reach the junction in Ban Hua Nam Khao ( Klong Tom District ),
6) turn left to highway 4206,
7) following this road about 25 km, reaching the dead end at Ban Hua Hin ferry pier.
8) A car ferry is operating to Lanta Noi Island. ( 20 min. ride )

The car-ferry boats are operating daily, 365 days, from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.

for those who would like to fly to krabi, you can take taxi van from krabi to lanta jetty. cost THB 2500. can accomodate 1-6 persons but pls take into consideration your baggage.
