Dear Guragak

As I recall in previous threads which now I don't see anymore, this commitee has offered racing organisers from all over Malaysia to organise any rounds of the MNC. Those who organised racing under MARCC has done this. So there is no question whether the committee is biased or not to East Malaysian.

Even when the commitee was first set up, invitation was given to East Malaysian brothers.

Bro, I think there is no segregation between East and West. Only you being tooo .... <censored> .... Personally, I feel you are way out ... too much .... stop this bickering. OK .....

If i'm wrong, pls ... any of the commitee member, pls correct me ...

Its true as what has been posted by tornadobuster. Before drawing a schedule for MNC EP TC 2005, we have posted in RCTECH and some other forum websites offerings for organising races for MNC.

I quote MARCC offering that was posted in RCTECH on 7th September 2004

"RC MALAYSIAN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2005 (MNC)

Please take note that MARCC WILL NOT be organizing any of the MNC round. The function of MARCC is to monitor the running of the races & to make sure that each appointed organizer for each round of the MNC, follows the standard format & R&R as agreed. The MNC will be handled by a ‘sub-committee’ for each class (EP & GP). Each sub-committee will be responsible for putting together a proposal for each of the MNC for EP & GP.

1. A proposal were being discussed to have a national championship (MNC) which will involve at least 4 to 5 rounds in different states. A point system will be adopted for the championship. Each round will be organized by an independent organizer which is not associated with any LHS.

2. Each round will be using the same race format and R&R laid down by MARCC. The race format & R&R will be adopted from the standard race format & R&R used by IFMAR for each class & category. A few things may be changed or modified to suit the local RC racing scenes.

3. The independent organizer will be responsible for the overall running of the race. This shall cover the financial, management, race equipment & facilites, as in a normal race organisation. The organizer are required to pay a sanctioning fee to MARCC, with the quantum to be discussed later.

4. MARCC will be sending ONE ‘Match Inspector’ to make sure the race is being held according to agreed rules & requlation of an MNC round.

5. Once the proposal have been agreed collectively & wholely by MARCC & its sub-committee, the proposed MNC will be publicise to the public & independent organizers will be invited to offer themselves to hold any of the MNC rounds.

6. Once everything is in order, MARCC will request from KBS, an endorsement letter, to facilitate the organizing of the race. This letter can be used by the organizer, for example, to request for facilities, financial, or etc which can ease the burden of organizing the race.

7. The independent organizers will have to solicite sponsors for race. If MARCC managed to get a sponsor for the MNC, the sponsored fund can be used to help out the independent organizers.

Therefore, with this announcement, the MARCC Protem Committee would like to invite individuals or clubs to offer your assistance & expertise in formulating the proposal for each MNC for EP & GP.
"

As of today we only received applications made by EP organisers and all of them are from Semenanjung. If there is application by our east Malaysian counterpart we will surely consider the application. For enquiries pls email your application to [email protected].

ok relax guys...we still all malaysian...yakan.

my advice is to send some details to hobbyshop in Sabah & sarawak about this championship. like i would say & praise HPC about this coming buggy race....details fax to hobbyshop in KK Sabah. Hobby Heaven too doin good job in promoting to racers in sabah about his organized race.

you see, some racers or hobbyshop owner(s), do not go online. so just by promoting thru rctech...which is good, but still not enough fi the organizer serious in promoting their races. Like rcpitstop, hobby heaven & HPC..they do send their details of the races they will organize. as u can see...a few sabahan racers already in & out semenanjung for some of the races.

so i would say, its a matter of promoting in a mass, spread way...either thru this forum & hobbyshops.
just my 3 cents.
now go racing.

TQ jfc_tech for your advise. According to our schedule, this week will start promoting the race through mass media & LHS. LHS in Sabah & Sarawak are not left out in our list.

Yesterday at the Xenon Race 6th Rd, we have officially announced and distributed phamplets for the 1st Rd MNC.

Just a suggestion.

If we go to Klang Valley GP Race, the race commentator is very livey. Like the Sepang Race, Emel was marvelous and can draw a lot of crowd to see the race. But in EP race, so far not that lively, orang pun lari just like the Sepang Race.

To make this MNC a lively and a crowd puller event, get a good race commentator. Any candidate ?

guys,

the whole MNC race is rather tempting and I can't wait till the 2nd round!!!

I do agree wif Tornadobuster, we do really need a good race commentator to bring the whole event up.....

look at F1 races or "Horse" racing!!! they got the best to do the job...

BG,

During the recent Reedy Race in Bangkok, the controlled practice were ran the usual 5 mins and the best "heat" were takend into consideration.... just a sugg to use 5 mins rather than 3....

thanks.

Dear all

We have read postings in forums about RC dying in Malaysia especially the EP. Something has to be done especially in promoting and encouraging new players to the sports and giving incentives to the industry players.

After much discussion with fellow racers and season campaigners in RC racing, the commitee has decided to introduce a special class called the NOVICE CLASS. The class will be introduced in the MNC EP 1st Rd in K Kangsar and will run throughout the MNC qualifying rounds. Although we have announced the use of modified motors throughout the MNC, for the NOVICE class, racers will run stock motors instead. The main reason is to encourage new players and to maintain their interest as the tournament progress. Normally in tournaments such as this, after the 2nd Rd participants tend to shy away because of a lot of factors.

Primarily, this is what is in their mind.

"Why should I spend if I cannot make it even to top 40. See the 1st & 2nd Rd, it always the same face... Chee Yong, Jacky, Andy Dass, Nilwan, Azam, Azhar, Eric Chow, .........".

They lose interest, their investment is without any gain ... and finally you see ads ->"CAR for Sale" in Forums.

How to run the classes ?

1) Those who are in the TOP 40 list of 2004 Xenon Race Championship Points and Top 15 LRP Cup (west) are not eligible to participate in the NOvice Class. They will be categorised as EXPERTS. Also drivers who have partcipated in IFMAR organised racing will be categorised under EXPERTS.

2) The rest are NOVICE. Those who are in the Novice Class can take part in modified motor race with the EXPERTS. Meaning to say they can take part in both modified (EXPERT) and stock (NOVICE) classes.

For MNC final round :

1) Top 50 drivers from the expert class will qualify for the final round

2) Top 10 drivers from the Novice class will qualify for the final round

If there is an overlap between EXPERTS & NOVICE, the next after position 50 and so on in the EXPERT class will qualify for the final.

By adopting the format, we can finally search for new talents and at the same time give some light to these new talents to qualify for the MNC.

A revision of MNC R & R will be anounced soon.

With the introduction of the NOVICE CLASS, the registration and entrance fees for the MNC 1st Rd is as follows :

1. Entrance fee: RM50 per event - Expert or Novice.
2. A discount of RM20 will be given if driver register for both events, i.e, RM 80 for both events.
3. ONE set of lunch will be provided per driver irrespective of number of events taking part.
4. Organizer will provide ONE free accomodation for each registered driver irrespective of number of events taking part.
5. Free accommodation is not included in the registration fee and no rebate considered if the offer is not taken up.

Regards
