I received a feedback from Pak Ya requesting the meeting to be held on race day. Reason : It is not economical in terms of time and money to travel to KL just for this purpose. The earliest race in KL is the LRP Cup 2nd round which in on 11/7/2004. Therefore we will move this meeting from 4/7/2004 to 11/7/2004.

Therefore pls be informed and take note of the changes. New date :

What do I meant by homologation ? The commitee will form a sub-commitee to approve RC items for racing. This procedure will evolve and refine to fulfill the local RC requirement inline with the international and IFMAR guideline.

Proposed HomologationGuideline

1. All RC distributors, manufacturers and hobby shops are eligible to apply for homologation. Forms for homologation exercise are available at the Jawatankuasa Teknikal Organisasi RC Malaysia administration office.

2. The Homologation is managed by a sub-committee that is authorised to exclusively benchmark RC related product used in the control of electric scale models.

3. The Homologation sub-committee member is expected to give a true impression of the usage, availability and worth of named components so that the committee as a whole can decide what a product has on the RC sport.

4. Manufacturers and / or their Malaysian representatives may be invited to present or introduce new items during a homologation exercise.

5. The Homologation sub-committee will draw up homologation lists for RC product that are for the use of the RC Car ONLY.

6. The Homologation sub-committee will investigate tools and procedures and provide such to the Jawatankuasa Teknikal Organisasi RC Malaysia to enable them to control the use of items on homologation lists.

7. The Homologation sub-committee will not allow the use of any components that would compromise any single section's rules but any single section may choose not to allow the use of items on the homologation lists.

8. All findings, lists or announcements will be published in the Jawatankuasa Teknikal Organisasi RC Malaysia Homologation List.

9. Anything not itemised on the Jawatankuasa Teknikal Organisasi RC Malaysia Homologation List is specifically not allowed for use in racing event organise or sanction by the Jawatankuasa Teknikal Organisasi RC Malaysia.

10. The Jawatankuasa Teknikal Organisasi RC Malaysia reserves the right to remove any particular RC product from the relevant homologation lists, if it is found that they are not readily available for purchase, or the technical specification/design differs from the homologated item. This would not include items that ceased to be available due to being superseded by new products.

Top RC drivers in Malaysia. Proposed names : Ong Chee Yong, Jacky Siow, Andy Dass, Ooi Eng Chuan, Azri, etc

Fee for the homologation ? Will be determined during protem meeting.

What they have done for Johor ? I feel by getting the approval by ROS for RC activities in Johor is a great achievement. They even produced a magazine besides organising racing. In qd-race website they always updated readers on RC activities in Johor.
