Not so good at diagnosing my own engine.

Soulfree's car was like magnet and damn kow lan chat happening at TT yesterday. The modified 710 gearing on the 705 worked splendid. Only a front belt sapu prevented him from practising more.

But the Sabah guys driving 710 were really awesome. They really have firepower under their hood.

aiyo he still dont want to change to 710!!. Soulfree's car has always been like magnet even during the last RCAC race. Saw his car on the straights...very steady except for the nearly smash into the railing one.

What are you using currently? Stock gearing is just nice.

Changing pinion (to bigger size) has a bigger effect on gearing. Changing spur (to smaller size) would have a smaller effect. You also need to take into consideration the tire diameter.

currently stock gearing, its OK...just that the engine screaming abit too loud once tire is about halfway thru. Might try with smaller spur first...

Ummm, you can try the smaller spurs but it will not show any drastic effect...

Say if you find that brand new 65 mm tires are perfect for the straights (engine wise) with stock 17/22 pinions and 60/56 spurs and you find that when the tire wears down to 62 mm, you need to change to a 23 pinion if you still want to use the 62 mm tires.

The 23 pinion and 62 mm tire will give you the same top speed and tire rollout as the 22 pinion with 65 mm tire.
