The whole idea in running a brushed motor in water is to accelerate the brush wear so it will seat on the comms. quicker + keeping the brush and motor cool. Usually this take about 5-10 minutes depending on type of brush.

Therefore, if you intend to run the buggy with brushed motor in water, you will are in affect doing the running in the whole time of the run thus shortening the life of the brushes.

Don't ask me how I know.

Yup so far what i read is the brsuhed motor rendam abit is ok... but they don't recommend submerged for too long. And after that recommended to apply some cleaner and also remove dirt. Anyway brushed should be cheaper to replace if it 'kongs'. Other concern is the tires... drying them out will take ages i think... if drive with wet sponge will take a load on the esc....

2nd simplest solution: Run the Traxxas servo, esc, motor and wrap up the receiver.

or you can buy beadlock tires where you can easily take them off as they are not glued, of course i think the rims are limited - possibly so are the tires. typically not many bash in the water anyway, most of them just do water skipping with the paddle tires. seems like fun if you ask me, of course if anything happens and the rig sinks, i hope you brought a spare set of underwear

Yes, tomorrow we bring our remote control toys to SS19 and do demolision derby, same as every Sunday.

Surprisingly with the reduction in weight (mainly wheels and some body parts) it has become quite resilient.. casualty today with some hard driving..

1. headlight cover fell off.. need superglue
2. slightly bent back cvd drive
3. one "L" shaped front dogbone due to me driving in the path of a speeding 1/8

Overall quite ok!

The undisputed winner of todays demolision derby is Rijang. I heard he racked up these kills - a DB01, a B44.1, a 201X, and a HSP. The force is strong with this one! I escaped the carnage by leaving before he arrived.
