think it depends on mixture ratio bro..... and air filter manifold, larger air filter but then still using the same manifold, i guess will be the same result....

Default My way.

Hi, below are the way I am doing to tune my engine........

1, set all needler to original setting
2, set low end 1st until you statify the pickup
3, if your idle too high then adjust a bit lower
4, then adjust high end
5, lastly adjust idle screw

Sorry to correct you tkhoo, but your method is incorrect.
  • You must always warm the enegine up first by slowly running the car around without going full speed, then you can start to to tune the car.
  • Start with the top end, what you do here will affect the low end.
  • when you think it is running fine (and there is still enough smoke visable) then you can start on the low end.
  • ypou should be able to go full throttle, and the vehicle should launch like a rocket.
  • then take a look at the idle.
  • if you have mid range, now is the time to adjust that. However unless yoiu have a lot of experience with tunning, I suggest you leave it alone.
I have some more info on tunning that I will post as soon as I can find it on my P.C. Just remember, keep plenty of smoke coming out, and always adjust the hi end, low end and idle in that order.
Rergards,
Darrin.

My CEN TR4 got quite alot of smoke and oil coming out from exhaust, I adjust the needle according to CEN recommendation Hi = 3 turns out, Low = 4 turns in from flush. Even I adjust Hi = 2 turns out and Low = 3 turns in from flush also quite alot of smoke and oil coming out from exhaust. i'm using Morganfuel sidewinder 25%. Or is it the fuel sucks?

normal la if got smoke & oil at the exhaust tip.. if u want u can lean the main a little bit (about 1 hour turn or so) (clockwise).. if then the idle become gila-gila (mau jalan sendiri) then u kasi tutup sikit dia punya idle (counter-clockwise) till the clutch disengage.. caution! leaning ur engine will compromise the engine's life.. stick to richer setting just to be on the safe side..

my 2 cents..

Wandzul is right. Better to be on the richer side to be safe. No point leaning out the engine and get shorter engine life. These engines are not cheap.
