While Shopping for my Heatsink Screws...

Did you guys know that the OS 12TR Heatsink Screw is M2.6 and not M2.5...

The difference is the diameter, M2.6 is 2.53mm & M2.5 is 2.43mm...

M2.6 is a special order, so not all bolt and nut shop sells them!!!

Any Screw Gurus know which Bolt & Nut Shop that I might be able to get the M2.6 from in KL???

Have you tried Jln. Loke Yew?? Along the road has a few shops that sells screw..

why did you screw up the screw? or why the screw got screwed?

BTW, how long is that screw? if you can't find it in any shops, try FARNELL or RS again.. or perhaps... if you find any equipment that has mechanical parts.. rip it off and dismantle it till you find the screws you want...

Speed Demon...

Actually, the shop you recommended is pretty good, they are willing to order the M2.6 X 12mm Screws. So its not a big Issue...

Just trying to narrow down the search, at least we know in future which shop has the ready stock and size.

Not KL, but in Sunway there's Yew Siong Industrial (around the car workshop areas) I get all my screws from them. I use M2.6x10 regularly. Let me know if you need some free samples. I think I may have a few around.

Default D.I.Y Fail Safe Switch Device

Hi guys,

I guess for many RC owners would hate when the car switch gets knocked off during play time, but u still want to use the switch once a while or you might not prefer to connect your batteries directly to your receiver, what i did was to cut a small piece of silicon fuel tube and inserted in between the switch, this way it will always be on, while i am not afraid of spoiling my receiver by accidentally reverse the polarity. Just my little sharing guys...

Regards,
MW

Default Sorry , not R/C related..

Looking around for it either it's too expensive or unavailble..I've design and made a DC-DC 250W(rated) ATX Power Supply for CARs(Real cars I mean)..you can actually mount your home PC in your Car running onboard car Battery, for MP3 ,Movie,GPS and all the stuff you can do on PC..support Molex connecter for LCD touch screen, hard drives and CD/DVD writer.. with buildin rear view camera relay circuit(activate only when gear to REVERSE).
PIC Startup/Shutdown Controller on seperate unit.
It's base on Collective order (need 50 unit minimum for first run).. in order to cut down the cost. PCB are professional build with soldermask and legend.. RM150 at least for complete unit (excluding Startup/shutdown micro-controller). PS are not surface mount component but S/S controller are!

PM me if interested!!!!!!!!!

P.S. forget about D.I.Y Sproggy PS .. it's cost twice or more...

Sorry , not R/C related..btw I've finish my Atmega8 ESC already.
Moderater can delete this post if he wanted to...

This is the VS I've made.. it's a round PCB buildin ,a low voltage warning leds and a 50,000uf Capacitor inside, if Kelfo want to ask!

Don't make thing difficult, LIFE is just a simple thing!!!

Thanks for being so supportive! I'm working on the alumimum casing design right now. Maybe you guy's can provide some idea.. how the final product may look like? Tahmazo or Tekin similar?post some picture! The design I'm currently working on the 3D Solidswork looks buldky.. I don't know what to do. then I figure out i have to cut down the PCB size, re-locate the LCD display and PINout.

Thanks jxtee! I've saw that websites once through RC group forum, that was a fantastic piece of equipment! Last heard was US$150 from German currency? for DIY complete kit,I don't think an average R/C player would think of..Actually most of my idea came from that equipment.. The logview software looks Good!! better then mine! I've downloaded the software thru logview.info see if it works on my equipment.if not I'll sort out the source code for it.
