Default Off-road at Fastlane

Romeo- Dirt Oval in KC has been missing for a few years but dont think nobody wants it again. The phone rings off the wall for info on the oval and 5 or 7 year old cars are still available and very competetive. Custom Works web site is cool.

Bob- Ran 68 thurs. didnt change anything- 66's on Sunday and lost. So I'm not the smart guy- beat with my other car- how smart is that?

Neal- That was Uncle Red's first time with good parts, he always could drive. Sorry about the pass.(not really)

Default DIRT OVAL

FASTLANE IS GIONG TO RACE DIRT OVAL BECAUSE THERE IS A WONDERFUL DIRT OFF-ROAD TRACK IN KANSAS CITY AT BLUE VUE . CONTACT STEVE HALE HES THE OFF-ROAD KING.

AS FAR AS THE DIRT OVAL GOES THAT IS WHAT THE RACERS WANT TO RUN SO WHY NOT TRY SOMETHING NEW.

THERE WILL BE AN OFF-ROAD IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OVAL FOR YOU JUMPING FREAKS.

THAT WAY EVERYONE HAS THE BEST OF ALL RACE TRACKS.

NOT TO MENTION THE OFF-ROAD AND ASPHALT TRACK TO BE OUTSIDE IN THE SPRING.

THANKS FASTLANE RACEWAY

Default Dirt Oval

I have always wanted to race dirt oval but have no idea what kind of classes are run and what kind of cars/trucks can be used. Can anyone shed any light on this subject for me?

Way back when dirt oval "was" popular they had several different classes including 4WD wedge(mod),2WD wedge(stock and mod),Sprint cars(mod of course) and a buggy class(stock).Cars from Custom Works,Cobra,Trinity(reflex) and SRP(?) were the cars of choice for the go fast crowd. Many were direct drive cars which I'm not for sure if the new Fastlane track is big enough for.Guess you can still buy the Custom Works and Cobra cars but bring your mastercard because they be high buck for sure....bring another mastercard for the batteries and motors you'll need as well..it can be a horsepower battle once the cars and track are dailed in.I remember racing at Megaplex and Shawnee Hobbies...turn left at end of straight and never lift the throttle.Yes,dirt oval was huge back in the day with sometimes over a hundred entries on a saturday night at Shawnee Hobbies...I'll let you decide on why dirt oval died.

Well congrats on your Legends win MM

Romeo- Mayhem is correct...why put in an offroad track when there is already an excellent one in town at Steves. I respect Shane for not trying to compete with him. And for your info I RACE dirt oval... that is what i first started racing 13+ years ago at Shawnee Hobby every tuesday and saturday night. I didnt stop because i got tired of it....i stopped because all the tracks were gone. I STILL have my cars

Lowrance- Ahhhh the good ol' Reflex 10 (which i still have ) zippin down the back straight at Megaplex with a 12 wind, seven cells and a huge side dam on a wedge body

Mayhem- PLEASE try and find some clay....and PLEASE go for hard packed

Default Dirt Oval kicks!

The ONLY reason there aren't Dirt Oval Freaks everywhere is because the tracks closed due to mis-management and other stupidity. NOT because of lack of interest.

Have my Cobra.....just waiting......for hard packed clay

mayhem: Although I see no need to purposely jack up a car to just turn left and your chances of seeing me race dirt oval are next to zero....hard packed clay is the only way to race dirt oval.

Personally,I like to see the dirt go,turn the carpet track into pit space/pro shop and buy a even bigger piece of carpet to lay down where the pits and dirt track are now.Come spring, lay down a 150X75 asphalt outdoor track. This would be perfect in my eyes.

Default 12th scale win

I don't think it was his motor, I think it was that his car was smooth through the corners!

It was handling very well. Good job Chris.

He was very fast for the first 5 minutes... then his eyes get tired or something....maybe the heckling from TK.

Either way, he was so far ahead at that time there was no catchin him.
