the track is always open. Sean now has lights to use but asks for a few $ to help with the bills. next race is the 21st @ 2:00 there is a transponder system in place or you can use personals....

Look back on the first post and it has the directions to the track. Mostly elec. anything. SC is the largest class. Some of the gas guys are starting to show up but the track really doesn't have any large jumps.

I'm thinking about starting racing. Which SC truck would be best to buy?

well that is a loaded question, it comes down to alot of personal preference. i run the blitz and love it there are guys that run the rc10 and some run the slash. i can tell you to stay away from the losi strike, they seem to have a few problems. the simplest truck to run is the slash. if you are knowledgeable about any off road racing the blitz or sc10 will be more up your alley. the have a few more tweeks you can do. now that i have done the best tap dance i could do i hope i helped. btw if you are totally new to off road racing dont worry about running brushless or mod just get a bone stock truck a lipo or two and have some fun till you figure it all out. this sport is a ton of fun but can be expensive if you let it......

Good answer! If you haven't raced and your looking for durability then go with the Traxxas Slash. You can beat and bang on those things and you'll hardly ever break anything. If you want something more competitive then the Associated SC10, HPI Blitz, or the Kyosho SC Ready to Runs would be the best out there right now. The SC10 is more aggressive as far as steering. The Blitz is pretty mellow and the Kyosho is pretty equal to the Blitz. Spend a little extra on a good charger if you can afford it and buy the Lipo pack. You'll only need one of those where you would need 2 or 3 of the Nimh packs. Plus everything is going Lipo these days.

Sadly another track has gone in Springfield. Hopefully something will happen this winter and an indoor track will start up. For those of you in the area that doesn't mind driving you can always go to the awesome indoor facility at Jeff City.

Part of the track was on church property and I was told they thought it was an eye sore. Track is already gone. Too bad. Over 60 entries last sat.
