Guys I have an Orion 17.5 stock motor. It has been run once. I bought it to run indoors at SMAC or 1/12. I have no need for it. SOLD someone local it was 85 bucks new. Looking forward to the new track should be a great summer! SOLD

There is like a 40 page debate on it in the offroad section. Obviously the Slash will struggle against the SC10 in every category. I think the best thing you can do if you are going to run the 2 cars together is just allow it to be and open class. Run what ya brung. Who is going to spend 400 bucks on a SC10 and then put a traxxas titan motor in it? Talk about a downer.

I picked up an SC10 a couple days ago @ Mark Twain, and I've about got it built up. It's a nice piece, and yeah, putting that in stock Slash would not go over well (at least for guys with stock Slashes). As Mike pointed out there is a big debate on it, but here is my .02.......
Spec Slash class - Only open to Spec Slash's, this keeps it fair for beginners and the cost down. I know a couple beginners who are picking up Slash's to run out here.
SC-Class - Open to all Short Course trucks. There may not be enough to run this class the first week or two, but soon there will be. I know a couple guys who have SC10's on the way or preordered. Your SC10's, Modded Slash trucks (stock Slashes too if they are brave
) go here.
Me and the 2 guys I know personally who have/are getting an SC10 are all putting 17.5 systems in em', just for an fyi. Anyone wanting to check out the SC10 first hand just ask me at the track and you can go a lap or two with it! Look for the Skoal Bandit truck

Well I did Colin. I'm old but this thing looks like it will be a blast to drive and I really think it will take over this summer. I'm racing in Ark. next weekend and they already have about 12 signed up to race the series and more coming. 17.5 is the only restriction that I know of. Unlike the Slash. It will basically be a full fendered stock truck class. My only hope is it won't end up like the Slash class and be a demo derby.

It's just a flat out conspiracy I tell ya Emilio!!! I heard Glock pithed (as Ed says) that is peed (for people without a LITHP or LISP) on Button after the Malaysia race was over with. 
Glock told him deal with it Bernie and Max told me to. We'll see what happens in China. It's pretty much all just a big set up though. The rain and everything...
Mark i'll probably have an SC10 by the end of the summer just trying to keep up with Lou. I race about once every 5 weeks anymore it seems about impossible to keep up. I'll run whatever we get a bunch in.
