it was good to see everyone yesterday, cant wait to have some off time so I can start practicing, I havent touched a transmitter since last season @ Smac and Im soooo ready to start, it looked so fun!
I'll have her built the same day I pick her up... minus electronics. I'll be picking her up in about a week and a half. The only thing that is gonna hold back completion is waiting on the new Tekin RSX release. I'm gonna go ahead and buy Avid pistons and aluminum shock caps ahead of time so I'll be ready for shock build. Who else runs the XBR? Can anyone recommend the right size pistons? Something that will work well at B and Smac. Also, would a Gen2 Redline 6.5 be a good choice?

You might be waiting awhile for a while for a rsx there is not even a release date for it yet.might want to run something else till it comes out,
Hey all, I heard some rumblings that their may be a Mini 8 class this winter? I was skeptical when I heard this because I know traditionally minis aren't popular around this area (although smac is the perfect size for them). Can anyone "in the know" clarify this for me? Thanks!

Yeah, the RSX may be awhile yet. I know the Team drivers will get them after World's and not sure how long they run them before they are cleared for the rest of us. I ned a RS Pro but they are too hard to find or are overpriced. From my understanding, the regular RS won't run a 6.5 and if I went to a 7.5 or 8.5 motor... then the RS would be working too hard. What is a good cheap temporary esc to run with a 6.5? Not sure what to do and I know I'll want the RSX when it's released.
Thanks for the quick reply, Scott. A few friends of mine have these and while they always looked cool, I didn't see the need to buy one. They plan on bringing them out so I will probably pick one up as well for the upcoming season.

If you're looking for a cheap but really good ESC, check out the XERUN 120amp ( http://www.falconsekido.com/products...s-esc-for-10th ) it's just over $100 and has a 5.5t motor limit. I've had really good luck with this ESC, and when you run the fan, it's hard to get her above 120F even on a 6.5 and a full charge from 6,000mah packs! Haha
