I may not be fast but thanks to tiny boat guy paint designs. I'll look good being slow.

I'll go ahead and give it another shot on a new page: Would I be able to run a 1/16 scale E-Revo in the novice class? just till I can get a real race rig.

I would think you will be ok for a short time. SMAC will have to make the call. Go up on Tuesday or Thursday and ask him.

I'll throw this up again. Really looking for some help.

Hi all, I'm just getting back into the RC thing and am thinking about trying the racing thing for the first time. I've been out to SMAC a few times for practices but havent made it to a race night yet. Im looking at picking up either a Short course or stadium truck to run. What classes seem to be the most popular and forgiving towards noobs? I have a RC8.2e but i think it would be to crazy for me to try and race starting off.
Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

I think short course would be your best starting bet. Stadium trucks are starting to get more popular, but its hit or miss on if enough show for A mod class. Always enough for stock class.

Also just throwing this out there for the new folks reading this forum. Don't get discouraged if someone doesn't answer your question right away, please ask again if you don't get a answer. A lot of the banter back and forth is friendly and the guys get more wrapped up in a dig here and there vs answering questions. Overall it is a great group of people and they are more than willing to help anyone new out. Showing up at the track and running is the best way to see if you will like it or not. Most folks once they start stick around for While.

So this is crazy new to the form. New to Rc racing. I currently thought I was gonna get into and bought/built a b44.2 set up as manual instructed put a tekin redline 6.5 motor dex10 esc and a dx3r pro racing spektrum controller. A racers edge 75c 5200mah 7.2 2 cell lipo a savox 1258 servo barcode rear tires super soft I can't remember names of front something similar super softs. This thing is brand new never ran. Body is at the painter being painted red white and blue. I have receipts for basically everything. It has the spektrum 3100 reciever. Not sure what I can get out of this bad boy but it's ready to go. I would of loved to get into racing I just can't seem to find the time to get out their. Can send pictures you can call or text me 618-340-6060 I will try to check this daily a decent offer would be nice or someone atleast tell me what I can get for it.
