Hey guys I had a question. Last time I was there was the first time I had raced 2wd buggy. I have a 13.5 turn motor. My question is what its the lowest turn motor I can have in my buggy before having to be put in the modified class. Would a 8.5 turn put me in it. Iseemed to be getting blown away down the straights in sportsmen with the 13.5

Sportsman refers to the skill level of the drivers, not the speed of the cars. Another way to look at this is that Sportsman is a somewhat "Intermediate" class, where the normal "Mod" would be considered "Expert". I've heard most guys run anywhere between a 7.5-10.5 in that class. Not sure what skill level you are, but if you use a 10.5, you will have better control of your car and will crash less.

if you mean just to borrow, I have a hobbywing 2250 (just around a 1950 Tekin) that you can use for Saturday. I am not selling it though.
