Early this season, we had alot of complaints about the program taking too long, so I eliminated driver minutes and decided to keep the clock running throughout qualifying.

I was informed this past week during the rebuild that some racers are unhappy with the current pace of the race program. I have to admit that I agree with these racers that feel like the current pace is to fast. Getting done early is nice, but the race day is not as much fun if you don't get a chance to relax a bit.

I am going to keep the driver minutes out and keep the clock rolling, but I will change the time between races from 2 minutes to 3 minutes. I know that it does not seem like much, but I believe that it will relax things quite a bit. We will start there and see how it goes. If there are 15 heats, then that will add about 1 hour to the night.

I have also decided to stick with 2 bump ups from each lower main. Alot of racers seemed to like that idea. Only the top 8 qualifiers will automatically
make each main.

Scott you have always ran a great program at smac, we all should be happy to have a track like this in st. Louis to race at every weekend indoor.
