SmacTrac...St.Louis Indoor Off Road

oh well
I had a great time rockin it out in the D-Main in mod 2wd buggy when the lights dumped, so I guess I really don't have a gripe either way. There's nothing to gain by running the missing races other than pride. (I didn't hear anything about racing for points?!) Thanks to Scott & crew for giving us a place to race, & I'm really lookin forward to getting MUCH BETTER at this offroad thing.

Your going to need a 2 cell lipo. Depending on the car you buy, you might need them to be saddle packs. Probably a lipo with at least 25c rating would work. Then your going to need a brushless motor system. Most people are running eithor all novak, or lrp brushless speed control with novak motors.
I would say, buy a 10.5 or 13.5 novak brushless motor system, and a good steerging servo that is fast and you will be fine. there isnt really much else to it.
Oh, and if your too lazy to look this shit up more specifically, then you shouldnt be racing. Or maybe im an ass, but I doubht someone will make a big post for you with links and part numbers but hopefully im wrong.

Your on the right track with the B44. Associated makes some really nice servo's now. XP digital #DS1015 has plenty of torgue. The LRP brushless setups or Novak are the best and a good starting point on a 4whl would be a 10.5 or if you want more speed a 7.5. I'm sure you already have a radio but if your going to run digital servo's and brushless I'd suggest a high end radio like an M11 Airtronics or the Spektrum DX3R. Its easier to use than the M11 and uses less batteries. Good luck! Your picking a tough class to start in!
