I'd like to join!

I drive an RC Lab 7even...very fast car. It's custom red anodized. I use a Quantum Competition, Trinity P2K2, SMC HV's, JR 2855 servo, and KO Presto radio. I race at MHOR raceway in Denver, CO, where they're holding the on road nats this year, but I'm not going.

Joe

Here's an old pic of my 7even:

Joe: Nice! Double Esc caps? damn, must be two 4400uF!

ko racer: the pro3 may look cool and all, but it still has the same problem that still makes me wonder. The first pro3 I got, I wasn't to excited because the drive train drags abit.

Now with this one. It has the same friction type of drag. Is there any way to make the drive train smooth like a babies butt?

Best Regards,
Kenix

kenix.......you might try adjusting the rear diff a bit.
and it could be the clamping hex hubs on it i had to put some very thin washers behind the pins to keep the clamps from being to tight next to the rear hub. that will cause it not to roll smooth.
other than that you can rebuild the diff but i wont think it needs it now.

Default Joe, you are IRT #128

Wow guys, this is great. Haven't had this many posts or photos in ages.

Going to the coast today with my youth group students. Going to race the mini-z cars there. I'll try to get some photos.

Do IRT members have some hot looking cars or what?

No one owns something that looks like this.

When I first started Merced Radio Control Road Racing club, the first car besides my own sad Hobby-Tech HT-1 was this truck. My first member of the club brought it, and it was half Radio Shack and Half Tamiya. It was so funny, the body would get crooked, hook on the tires and the thing would roll and the battery launch out.

He later went on to get himself a few new cars, some nitro, and Yokomo MR4TC.

What cars did you start your own RC car racing with?

Cmotif:

Started RC last year 10/2001.

My first car was a RS4 RTR3. Then I jump to Electric and
then got a Pro 3. Sold the Pro3. Got a XXX-S. Handed down
the XXX-S to my cousin. Bought an Atlas YM34 AP. Gave the YM34 AP to a good friend. Bought a TC3. Been using that since!

Ironic how I return to a Pro 3. LOL! And thats my RC history.

Best regards,
Kenix

Default R/C History....

I started out with a Tamiya FF01, Then I think I got a TC3 Racer, Upgraded that to full team spec over a few months, then got a uhhhh...well not sure...But I have owned Those two plus a Corally C4 AGLE, Yok MR4TC, Yok Worlds, Yok Special. Maybe somethin else don't really remember them too much. Didn't really keep a car for long, untill I bought the Yok Worlds, then got the special. Love this car.

Just like Old times, PC9840, Yo-Yo-Yokomo and myself (Cmotif) all on line at the same time.

I started with the Hobby Tech HT-1, then went to a Traxxas 4-tec, from there I had about three different Street Weapons, including an IWC. From there I went to the RClab 7 Even, (on recomendation of PC9840). My latest three are all Mini-z cars. I am having so much fun with those little cars.

Here is a photo of one of my old Street Weapons

As I was going through my photos to see my old Street Weapon, I came across from club photos. PC9840 also had a Schumacher for a while.

(Once he got out of his Tamiya, it didn't matter what he had, he always schooled us!)

I have seen one of this mini-z in action and I was blown away literally! Those dinky things are fast! Of course being fast means no handling. It was all over the track! rolling here rolling there.

pc9840: chamelion? its 19 turn spec type of motor right?

Best Regards,
Kenix
