hey..DTM: where did your friend get that compresser? there are some which are selling for 6xx-7xx for one...but i dunno if they are good...manticore said that those would spray water out if you dont have the thing to catch all the water!

Do i really need an air brush to paint a more detail body like Atsushi Hara's stratus body?

you don't REALLY need an air bursh to paint that kinda details but you will need to spend some time to mask everything and some small fades are hard to control with those canned paint.

fire is right, if you want to do some shadows or smoke effect, using a air spray is the best way to make those effect. i tried using the cans for those effect, but large blobs splatted all over the body, and theres not a spot on the body that wasnt covered in those blob...using a air spray could be better!!

you can use a paint brush to paint it on if you don't have an air brush~~it's much easier and quicker than try to use a can spray to paint it.

Yes, you can pick up some water from any compressor (you only have to look at the compressors at PYC or EGR!). Its always best to add a water seperator. I've seen some which has the seperator already included, but its possible to add a module on.
