a VW forum i use is like that to. political comments get made all the time, mostly in a truth in smartassism kind of way. people just love taking jabs at each other over there. its supposed to be a zero politics place. shit usually skates unless it causes the thread to get off topic. then just the political posts get deleted and things get back on topic. even when things come totally off the rails (incredibly rare but it happens) no one even gets in any kind of trouble for it. what's amusing is when you see 2 guys just going at each other on the forum. then see those same 2 guys cross paths in person at a show. they give each other shit and bust each others balls, but it's all smiles and handshakes as its happening.
