Tamiya TRF on road group

I've raced for about 15 years, and 3 of them have been whilst sponsored by Tekin, so I am tied into using their products where possible.

I have every faith in their products, especially after the Tekin domination of the Snowbirds racing Personally speaking, we have some rather clever electronics, that you can feel the difference with over other brands, and a constant development within the software.

We are learning quite a lot about timing, both on the motor and within the ESC, and how it effects motor temperature.

I'm sure the Novak system has a lot of good results behind it too, but I personally havn't used any Novak equipment since joining Tekin. I liked how the Cyclone TC ESC performed with a stock motor, but could never get the datalink to work with the ESC.

It is all about finding the sweet spot of the motor for a given track, and how consistant you are. If you have both, you are in for a good days racing, for sure!

Carpet racing this weekend ( out comes the TT01-E ) going to chase some top end cars .

I'm now running LRP SPX Stockspec speedy with Orion 17.5 in my TA05-R , can't wait to give it a run in a fortnight to see if it makes a diff .

What kind of mods do you have done on your TT01E?

TRF Shocks , Full Ball Bearings , Alloy centre shaft , ADJ upper Suspension links F & R , Ball Diff in front & STD diff in rear , ADJ steering links , GRP foam tyres & a Team Orion Vortex Touring Experience Brushless motor & speedy combo ( 3300KV ) Team orion 3600 lipo , Total weight of the car is about 1400 grams ready to race .

Not to much flex it's a pretty good chassis on the Type E .

Yes it is a good little car & very strong ( good for running around boards on carpet ) where the other guy's keep ripping front upright screws out when clipping the boards .
