Anyone else think the setup for this estate game is kinda interesting?

Lately, I've been really into games that have a kind of 'trapped by circumstance' setup for the plot. You know, where the main character is forced into a situation they wouldn't normally choose, and then interesting things happen. I'm always drawn to the power dynamics that emerge from situations like that. It just seems like fertile ground for interesting stories and character development, ya know? Anyway, anyone else into that kind of thing?

It's funny how consistent some of these tropes are across different kinds of media. The "forced servitude" plotline pops up everywhere, from classic literature to modern video games. Basically, the main character is in debt and ends up working at a rich lady's estate with his friend to pay it off, and she makes him and his "friend" (her daughter) her servants to pay off the debt. I'm only a little ways in, but it's got that whole "total obedience" thing going on, which adds some interesting tension. And in my opinion this can be interesting thing, cause well you know there can be some fine things with this and i like it
