HotShotRC Offroad Racing Wednesday Nights Survey
#121
I absolutely agree with this post. The major problem I see with on-road at HS is that it's on a WEDNESDAY night! Getting home at 1am then getting up at 5:30am for work is not fun. Especially just to play with toy cars. If there would have been a promoted standard weekend program, I don't think this would have been an issue.
Another thing I see mentioned in this thread is running 1/8 e-buggies.. Unless you have a track the size of Flowood indoor, this is not going to be exciting or fun for the 1/8 crowd. Especially with all the great outdoor options in the area. On the other side of that if the track was that large then it becomes a less appealing 1/10 solution. I can already see the threads now... The jumps are too small, lanes too narrow for e-buggies... The jumps are too big for 1/10 buggies...
There are plenty of 1/8 offroad tracks in the area. Nothing that caters to 1/10 electric racing. Stay focused.
First on the agenda, if it were me, would be to get my hobby shop in line and establish a larger online presence. Get some revenue from outside the Atlanta area coming in, instead of being carried solely on the backs of local racer track fees.

E-buggy would be totally possible on a bigger track at Hotshots. They run e-buggy at OCRC and it's a 1/10 scale track with smaller jumps. Things would need to happen such as lower power motor or simply dial back the power but in exchange I think driving skill would improve and constant dry track is available. It's either sit at home and pout when it rains or go turn laps and have fun... you choose.

Cannot agree with your more, competition in the market creates the best facilities! A full size indoor offroad track in metro ATL "IS" the most lucrative option, hands downs!
No need to PM, if I am so misinformed just tell me right here......
This thread sounds like the Should-a Could-a Would-a 500, hahaha!
You cannot build any world on excuses!
If anyone is taking this personal or getting upset enough to have this thread deleted, take a step back and realize that this is a simple discussion. Brad asked if any of us offroad guys would come out on WED, because he is thinking about shutting down the onroad side, so everything here in these post's are on topic. You guys leave yourselves wide open to criticism when you play the blame game!
From the last time I checked we are all adults, we should be able to have a conversation in a thread without it getting shut down b/c of someone's ego getting the best of them. I mean shoot, Curtis called me semi intelligent, which means half dumb to some folks, but i know that was not what he meant by it ( I hope
, hahaha). So if you are reading between the lines, trust me there is nothing there, just me simply pointing out YOU make reality what it is by voicing then DOING!

I only post something in a blue moon. This is the only post I will do until after the onroad race. I am going to count the number of times someone make a excuse about the race. like bearings, dirt, no traction ect.

No! Shon is not allowed in the clique. Pro Mini Truggy is being developed as a class full of fun. No taking it serious and racing is one of the first rules against "Pro Mini Truggy" class.
Shon if you want in you will have to prove by taking Chris out on the straight over you finishing up well in a main.
