Hotshot is about 1-1.5 hours from ringgold. http://hotshotrc.com/ Indoor carpet, Wednesdays open at 12 race at 8-9. Usually done close to 11. Your 17.5 car would be good. Not really any VTA crowd there. The "beginner" class is now Tamiya Mini.
Its about an hour if you drive a murdered out variant of a police car and you keep your foot buried in it the whole way. For us mortals its a bit more than an hour to get there.
Google Earth says 2hrs 14minutes. Still its great racing and people that are worth the drive up. If you are looking for a race on Wednesday night, Hot Shots is still the deal. If you care to do something this Sunday Thunder in Nashville would be worth your while. Check out their threads.

so whats the status of your track guys I would love to see a nice asphalt on-road track. Maybe we can have some sort of Georgia on-road series race.

The plans are in the works. If the rain will go away we will have a whole show for everyone. It looks like tornado season is about over. Dalton will be a nice track and now that Dion is wanting to have onroad on that "huge" asphalt area at his place this will be a great time for onroad this year.

I don't know about you guys but I am ready to start making some laps on the asphalt.

A lot of us have the asphalt bug right now so it would be great to try it especially mod TC. Do you guys think you maybe running on a few Sundays this summer? I figured it makes sense because of all the off-roading every Saturday.
