Alright guys next Friday is it!!!!!! Finals time!!!!!! We are gonna turn it up a notch for next Friday so come prepared to have a great time. Monster Energy will be there to help you guys keep going. They will be onsite from 7PM to 11PM handing out free monsters. We also have kept this on the DOWN LOW til now but we will be awarding the top 3 in each class some nice gift certificates for use in the shop. Should break down to $75 $50 and $25. Trophies will be in this week for top 10 in SCT and 2wd buggy and top 5 in 4wd and sportsman. Plus we havent even began to hand out the prizes given by our sponsors. We will give everyone a raffle ticket as they sign up and be pulling them through the night. We have some very nice GT bearing sets from 4C hobbies, Gift certificates from JConcepts and Fantom Racing. Also have lots more to give away from Sticky Kicks, Racers Edge and many others. So if you haven't attended one of the series races this would be the one to come to. Will be one to talk about for a while. You guys have been great and displayed some awsome sportsmanship throughout this entire series. Thers been some great battles in each class and should come down to the wire for positions. Once the last main has run we will sort the final points and do awards presentations directly there after. SOOOOOO get yourself some FREE monster and prepare for an AWSOME night of racing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

17.5 and 13.5 are both brushless motors. The 13.5 is faster than the 17.5, lower the number the faster the motor.

We sell Fantom motors at the shop, they are the trinity d3 motors but have been tested for defects by fantom. Both 13.5 and 17.5 are legal here. I'll let others chime in on what they prefer

The motor your run really depend son the ESC you run. If you run a Tekin RS/RS Pro, then a 17.5 would be plenty for most people. If you run a less advanced ESC like the LRP SPX or LRP Sphere, then a 13.5 would be a better choice.

I was gonna use a velineon VXL3 as the ESC

I would run a 13.5 off of it. I have never tried to run a 13.5 off of that ESC. I don't know how it would work out.

That is a sensorless esc, you will need a sensorless bl motor, I suggest something around 3300kv, that is an indirect equalivalent to a 13.5bl sensored motor.

I just don't want to go too fast. I ran the velineon up there was and the truck was bat guano all over the place. Even on my track, dudes with 17.5's post the same times as dude with 10t BL motors and box stock.

To clarify on a more technical note about the motors. If you are going to run SCT at any other track in GA you will need a 17.5 the 13.5's are not legal at any other track and we are trying to wean people off them and go to the full ROAR spec rules. The 13.5 is what we run in the 2wd buggies and is considered "or was" super stock. The tekin/rs and fantom 17.5 is the combo of choice for about 95% of the SC racers around here.

I guess Traxxas' aux port is the sensor port?!?... I personally wouldn't trust this esc to be realible... got 2 freshly swapped out units in front of me, the originals lasted 2 packs each.
