2009 points classes
Here we go. First, the 4 cell class will be the main class for all F1 cars. All d-drives will use a 27T stock motor or a 17.5 brushless. As for this new low voltage LiPo it will need more examination on the proper motor for that. Right now it looks like 13.5 but I want to make sure there is no advantage with them. 5 minute heats and main.
The second class will be the Spec class for all F1's that use the Tamiya wheels and axles such as F103's, Duratrax, MLP MP3/8, Cross,Tech racing 108, and others. Silver can motors, 5 min qualifiers 20 minute mains.
Third is still up in the air right now. 1/12th drivers do not care for some asphalt tracks. WGT has been mentioned but nobody I know has one. The VTA drivers could fill the spot though. One thing that has been mentioned to me several times is a class for the 1/8 motorcycles such as the Kyosho and Venom. ( I still have my Kyosho) I'm not sure they are agile enough for PT but any parkinglot track would work. Of course we all said that nitro could not run at PT and they ended up going pretty fast on it. This means the 3rd class is not in stone and it's early but I have a lot to do to make sure we have what we need for this year to make it even more fun than before. Stand by for more news.

Updates. F1 4 cell will stay the same but may be 6 minutes in length. Spec will be the same but with 8 minute mains. If the 3rd class is touring then it can stay 13.5 since that is the common setup here but will be rubber tires as usual.
Most of the races will be at PT but the Bowl now has a porta potty so I can bring the kids there for a couple of races this year.
Doc is still working on a plan for a permanent track in Dalton and so far it's looking like it could happen. Maybe at the city's expence for most of it. A ramp for the handicapped has been mentioned by those in charge.
Anything else?

VTA as well as WGT are always welcome. F1, F1 spec and Touring have been here since it started. Depending on # of entries (and if I can get in a race of my own to pay for it) VTA could get points. Let's see how it goes and encourage the gang to be part of it.

"are you thinking sat. or sun. or ain't figur'd it out yet? "
I knew there would be a catch to this...now I have to think about stuff.
As far as I know PT will be doing mostly Saturday onroad unless something changes. There is always room to adjust for different reasons since the series will not be back to back racing. I know the Cup race will be on a Saturday so Andy and his gang can get home with pleny of time. Not sure yet about the Top Gun races but I will see him about noon.
One thing though is that I will have to leave early for my daughters birthday party. But I hope everyone is there for both tracks.
